Rewritten: Seven deadly sins

Episode one

Gwen POV 

I wake up and hear banging downstairs, great Meliodas is already up. I take a quick shower tie up my h/l and throw on a cute outfit. As I walk down the stair I see Meliodas shining some glasses.

"Hey Gwen, we're about to set up in Liones you might wanna get ready," Meliodas says smiling.

"Sounds good, I'm going to do some archery practice, I'll be back in about an hour," I say looking at the wanted posters hanging on the wall. If this is what people thought Meliodas and I look like then we aren't going to have trouble hiding in plain sight.

"You sure it's a good idea to be so close to the castle," I ask grabbing my bow sitting in the corner.

"We can't stay away forever Gwen, plus it's been ten years. no one expects us to be here" as Meliodas finishes I walk out the door to The Boar Hat and slide down Hawk's mom. I shoot a couple of arrows to warm up and then I get ready for my hunt. The bow I have now isn't quite as good as my sacred treasure but it would have to do. After getting a couple of birds and a stag I walk back to the tavern.

"How the hell she's still single I'll never know", "she's so beautiful", "Dare you to ask her on a date", these were the normal comments I would every time I would walk past customers. I didn't mind the attention, I just reminded myself of the compliments I would get from ... him.

"The taverns really packed today," Meliodas says passing around drinks to waiting patrons.

"As per usual, anyone stupid enough to order food yet," I ask.

"Yep that table over there order a meat pie-" Meliodas said letting the sentence trail off as a man came bursting through the door yelling about a rust knight and the eight deadly sins.

I listen in to their conversation trying to see if they have any actual information. As per usual a bunch of no good drunks who have no idea what they're talking about. Who am I to talk about drunks though given the fact I probably drink more than them just to get through the night. that's one habit I wish I hadn't picked up from Ban ... Ban. It's been so long since I allowed myself to say his name even in my head. I contemplate saying it out loud but decided against it, not here, not now.

my attention snaps away from my mind as I realize that the tavern is quiet, too quiet. I hear the sound of rusted metal and silently hoped it would be Gowther to walk through the door, he was the only one to almost always wear armor. The opens and a knight walks through the door. The knight whispers something about the eight deadly sins and the tavern was deserted quick than I could have thought possible for drunk humans. Meliodas swings himself over the counter and asks who it is. in response the knight falls over, the helmet flying off and revealing a girl with white hair and a blue gem earring.

I get Meliodas to help me bring her upstairs into my room. I get her out of the armor and go downstairs to get her some water. When I walk back into the room I see Meliodas groping the girl and saying something about her heartbeat. God, what a little perv. And then the girl thanks him? Starting to get annoyed I walk over to Meliodas poor half the water on his head and hand the glass to the girl.

"If he does that again feel free to slap him," I say, which earns me a confused smile from the girl, a big smile from Hawk, and a small glare from the slightly wet Meliodas.

"What do you want me to say Meli, you need to learn to have more respect towards women," I say sitting in one of the chairs next to the bed. I girl asks some basic questions and Meliodas answers, along with some snappy comebacks from Hawk. The girl started to fawn over Hawk. I had lost interest and was thinking about the better way to skin a deer. I was snapped back to reality when Meliodas mentioned making the girl some food. the girl politely accepted. Hawk and I exchanged a look and I started to lead the party downstairs.

"First you nurse me back to health now you're feeding me, how could I possibly thank you enough," the girl asks

"You might want to try that first before you thank us," Hawk says.

"Yeah Meliodas's cooking is killer," I say laughing a little.

the girl tries a bite and starts crying. God, why did I end up with a stuck-up Elizabeth and now a crybaby? I try to cut her a little bit of slack and ask "what is it you were don't in that old armor".

"I'm on a personal quest to find the eight deadly sins," she says. At this, my heart skips a beat. Maybe she knows where the other sins are. Then we hear a banging on the door, holy knights, great. Meliodas goes to talk to the knights well I take Elizabeth to the back.

"I don't want to trouble you anymore," she says as she starts to make a run for it. I follow her and hear the knight behind us.

"come on their catching up to us" I shout and grab the girl's hand. I see Meliodas sitting in a tree and throw the girl up to him before leaping up myself. once a seat myself in the tree I look over and see Meliodas groping the girl again. a grab her by the ankle and swing her over to me. "Knock it off" I yell as I jump down with the girl in my hands and Meliodas follows us.

"So what do you want with the eight deadly sins anyway," Meliodas asks.

"I want to ask them to help me stop the holy knights" the girl responded.

"Why aren't the holy knights the good guys," Hawk asks.

"what if the holy knight were planning to start a war in our country," the girl asks.

I pause for a moment, another war. First Danafor now Liones. Looks like history repeating itself.

"Such amazing people wouldn't possibly let themselves get killed" the girl yelled back a Meliodas. I was started to like this girl more and more.

the ground starts to shake and the cliff gives way. Meliodas and I spring into action Meliodas grabbing the girl and me grabbing a boy who was about to be crushed in the cliff. A holy knight yells something about a death total and Meliodas whispers something to the girl still in his arms. I hate being left out. I know it was because I already know the plan, I could always tell what Meliodas was thinking the perks of knowing someone for thirty-odd years. "-you in conclusion are princess Elizabeth" the knight says. thanks for the title but I know the name, I think to myself. Why couldn't princess Veronica be the one here at least she would know how to handle herself, I made sure of that before leaving.

"Go, now" Meliodas shouts as we all turn and run.

I duck as the knight attack cuts through all the trees on the hill. after making sure everyone's ok, Meliodas and a stand and I take a defense position. All of a sudden Elizabeth stands up and walks toward the knight. I dodge an attack and try to listen to what Meliodas and Elizabeth were talking about. the knight starts to walk towards them and I jump over the crater in the ground to help Meliodas.

"I don't even know your names" Elizabeth cries, I feel back for her, almost.

"Meliodas if you really want to know".

"And I'm Guinevere," I say smiling down at the girl and helping Meliodas up.

the knight move to attack us, Meliodas blocked the attack at I throw a dagger that just misses his eye.

"Come on I'm getting impatient, I'm eight deadly sin, Guinevere, wolf sin of ignorance" I saw aiming another dagger for the knight's eye and not missing.

Meliodas sends the guy flying and announces who he is.

"Well that was a nice warm-up," I say.

"Let's head back to the tavern and head out," Meliodas says looking at Elizabeth, she smile and we walk back to the tavern in perfect silence.
