Episode two and three

Gwen POV 

Once we get back to The Boar Hat I quickly make dinner for everyone. We went to bed with Elizabeth on my bed and me on my couch. the next morning I woke up before Elizabeth creep downstairs and make breakfast before Meliodas can try to.

"How is it," I ask Elizabeth once she comes down for food.

"Better than mine, still not as good as Ban's though," Meliodas says with a smile. At hearing his name a flinch slightly. Elizabeth seems to notice and asks "Lady Guinevere, maybe I ask you a question," Elizabeth is talking cautiously. I nod and she continues asking "What is your relationship with Sir Ban". I wait for a beat before responding to see if Meliodas will answer for me. "We've been friends since we were young, after a while I guess feelings changed and we started dating, not much to it," I say laughing at the last part. it was more complicated than that of course but there wasn't time to get into it. At that moment Hawk's mom stopped and I go flighting across the room and hit a table. Meliodas has caught Elizabeth obviously.

"Well here we are Vanya Village, they make the best ale in Britannia," Meliodas says making his way towards the door. My head's still spinning so a yell out "I'm going to stay here for a bit, see you later".

I look over to the wanted posters still hanging on the wall. I walk over to the posters, tear them down, and throw them in the trash. no more hiding. Let's find our friends. Moving around the tavern I pick up the scattered dishes and clean up. After cleaning up I see Meliodas leading a kid through the door.

"What's going on," I ask.

"A holy knight locked away the water the village and this guy was gonna tell me more about it," Meliodas says attention not turning from the boy. "Tell me kid why do they all-," Meliodas says getting cut off. "-Don't call me that you're a kid too," the boy says with his head on the table.

"no, I'm really not" Meliodas responds.

"well, I'm hungry" the boy demands.

"if you answer us nicely we'll get you some food," I say walking around the counter and handing Meliodas a mug of ale.

"no food first," the boy says smugly. Meliodas makes the boy some food but when he tries it, he spits it out.

"I never said to would be any good" Meliodas chuckles. "so is it true, are you friends with the eight deadly sins".

"Your food gave me amnesia" the boy whines. "Wait is that Vanya ale your drinking, should kids like you be drinking that stuff".

"We're not kids" I respond sitting down next to Meliodas.

"it's the best, sweetest, full-bodied... or so I hear from the adults" the boy smiles. Then Elizabeth comes back and starts talking to the boy about the time she tried to climb a tree and the king climbed up after her. I remember that was one of the times when we were not on a mission. I tried to convince the king to just let me get her back he was having none of it. after he fell I ended up climbing the tree to get the princess anyway. that was when I know that this girl truly was the goddess.

"No, I put the bug in the drink because the holy knight was treating the people like they were crap" Mead shouts.

we hear some shouts in the village and see two knights harassing the village. as everyone tries to pull the sword out Meliodas and I walk down to the village.

"Anyone who doesn't appreciate good booze doesn't deserve to drink it," Meliodas says hand me one of the knights' mugs, with I promptly splash in their faces. Meliodas approaches the sword and pulls it off with ease. the village stares in awe.
