Glory x Blue

Blue walked up to Queen Glory. "Thank you again for helping free me and my tribe. I-I-I just can't put it into words how grateful I am," he said to the RainWing queen. Glory had spent so many of her resources feeding and freeing the tribes on Pantela.

"You don't have to be thankful, it was practically required, Wasp was taking away your dragon rights so someone had to remove her." Glory acted as if sending assassins to go kill Wasp was a small deal. Even if she did have little to do with the death of Wasp, she was still feeding his whole tribe for free while they find a place to settle down.

"Yeah, I wish everyone could've lived and not be evil but... maybe it was best to not let Wasp live," Blue hated that he was glad that someone was dead, but Queen Wasp was just so evil and horrible. Maybe she'd prefer death over imprisonment though.

"That's life buddy, sometimes dragons are too dangerous to be kept alive." Blue never responded to that. He didn't want to admit it but she was right.

"Yeah.... I still can't believe how much has changed in my life, and Cricket..." he sighed wistfully.

"I know, it's horrible. On the bright side of things, at least you're finally free," Glory tried pointing out the one good thing she could think of for the poor SilkWing.

"Yeah, thanks to you," he said with a friendly smile, a little flirtatious even.

"Just doing my job. Hey, follow me, I wanna show you something," Glory beckoned him and he followed with a nod.

They flew through the forest, Blue commenting on how much he loved the trees and all the flowers he saw as well as how much he appreciated the non-lethal plants. Glory joked with him about the corpse flower, but besides for that nothing was lethal by getting near it.

They landed by a pond and talked about their lives. Neither of them didn't even mean to, but they talked until sundown. "I should probably get going," Blue said quietly.

"I suppose." Glory kept staring at the mossy pond full of frogs and other small fishes. The thought of him leaving made her heart sink. She couldn't bare the thought of being without him now, they bonded so well, got along like two peas in a pod. Glory wanted to be with Blue, she felt so comfortable around him.

"Blue, wait," Glory said after gaining the courage she needed. The SilkWing stopped in his tracks and turned to face her. "I was thinking, would you like to, well, get dinner together?"

Blue was dumbfounded. He was all for it, but he didn't want to misstep here. "Like a uhh," he stammered, hoping Glory could help him finish the sentence.

"Like a date? Yes. Like a date."

Blue blushed but that made him all the more excited to say yes. "Sure, I'd love to."

Glory hid the pink and yellows on her body. "Great! Care to take the scenic route back home then?" She asked as she spread her wings ready to fly.

"Yeah, that sounds like fun," Blue answered with a large smile. He thought Glory was beautiful, caring, and compassionate, and now she asked him on a date. This was in the top five best days of Blue's life.
