Willow x Riptide

Riptide has followed Tsunami to the end of the continent to support her as she left for Pantala, and she returned with three new tribes. Quite the adventure he'd say.

But when she got back, she started acting weird which made him anxious. "Hey," a soft female voice said in a soothing manner from beside him, "see you OK?" It was one of those LeafWings. She beautiful. A bit young, but gorgeous nonetheless.

"Oh, yeah. I'll get over it," he went back to staring at the ocean while leaning against that SandWing animus' house.

"Well what's causing you problems? I might be able to help." She seemed genuine, which was weird since she just met him.

"This girl I liked started to act weird and I don't think I like her anymore. She's been that way for a while now too," he hated to say it but that is why he was feeling so bad.

"Oh... that kinda happened to me too," Willow scooted closer to Riptide.

"That sucks. Can't really say anything helpful though, sorry."

"Nah, don't be, I moved on," she laid her tail over Riptide's in a friendly gesture.

"I need to as well, I just don't know if I want to," he said sadly. He had fond memories of Tsunami, but he didn't love her anymore.

"Would you want to if you met someone new? Someone you loved more than you ever loved the other girl?" Willow asked, hinting that she could be that girl.

Riptide took his gaze off the ocean and directed it at her. "Well," he knew what she was hinting at, he just wasn't sure yet. "Maybe if I knew more about that dragon, I could decide if I loved her enough or not."

Willow gave a sheepish smile. "Well then, what would you like to know," she nudged his wing.

Riptide asked some questions about her life. Stuff like where she was from, why she was in hiding until now, why their tribe had split up.

The Willow asked questions about his life. Why was he an outcast? Why did he join the Talons of Peace? What was the Talons of Peace? So on and so forth.

They actually got along great too, throwing in jokes that the other would laugh at occasionally. "You know, I do like you a lot, Willow."

"A lot a lot?" She asked. "Eh?" She nudged him.

"Well, I'm not fully sure. Maybe if we went on a proper date I could actually decide."

"Ugh. Don't you believe in love at first sight?"

"Yeah, I do, but I don't think it always happens that way," he explained.

"That makes since. But I've noticed the signs of someone in love!" She cooed.

"Oh really?"

"Yep. You're pupils dilate, you smile at the end of most of your sentences, and-," she put a talon over his heart and moved his over hers, "and our hearts are in sync."

Riptide felt the rhythm of their hearts, and they were in sync. "Wow," he breathed. He was fascinated by this phenomenon of their hearts being in sync. Maybe they were meant to be together.

They made eye contact and held it before they both slowly leaned in for a kiss. They broke apart. "I still want that date though," Riptide said.

Willow giggled. "I do too. Dinner? Right about now? I am hungry."

"Me too. We just have to find dinner," he looked at the woods with disgust.

"Actually, there's a fruit tree right there, and plenty  of berries under that. If you don't mind, I prefer fruits."

"Works for me."

And they lived HAPPILY EVER AFTER! or something like that, I dunno

This one is horrible, I know, but there's two reasons why. Three actually.

1. It's a Willow x Riptide fanfic, give me a break. You know how hard it is to make this make sense?

2. I don't fully understand Riptide's personality nor Willow's for that matter

3. I'm impatient and I've already been working on this for days now and it's like... 600 words only. So I'm just going to say "fuck it" and post this
