Quick flashback

"By the way Deathbringer, If you ever get me like, some sort of ring or necklace that has a 5 pound diamond on it, or is gaudy as hell, I'm going to make you take it back," Glory said out of the blue with no apparent reason or context.

"All right then. I'll keep that in mind," Deathbringer said with a quick wink that Glory almost missed.

Glory raised an eye ridge. Wonder what that could mean. She thought in a sarcastic way.

In the present

Glory sat in her throne answering trivial questions all day. Like she did every day. And to make matters worst, Deathbringer decided to leave for Possibility yesterday and thus left no one to even talk to.

She slumped down in her seat and sighed.

After answering another stupid question, Deathbringer barged in. "Hello my lovely queen!" He announced. "Miss me?" He asked with a grin, or rather a smirk.

Yes! You have no idea how much I missed you! Her mind screamed. But she refused to say that out loud. "Eh. I enjoyed my day of silence," she shrugged, and well, that wasn't a total lie.

Deathbringer looked hurt. "I can't believe you'd say something so rude!" He put his talon up to his forehead for extra dramatic affect.

Glory rolled her eyes. "Where were you exactly?" She got up from her throne and walked towards her boyfriend.

"I told you. I went to Possibility," he said defensively.

Glory waved for her guards to leave. "I'm taking the rest of the day off," she mumbled to one of them. "Weren't cheating on me were you?"

This time Deathbringer looked actually hurt. "Of course not!"

"It was just a joke. Calm down," Glory elbowed him playfully. "I'm hungry. What about you," she said in a monotone voice.

"Starving actually," Deathbringer replied.

The two of them ate, then talked a little bit more. The sun was beginning to set behind the trees.

"Hey, Glory?" Deathbringer said. Glory looked up at him, awaiting his question. But instead he snatched her floral crown and darted away.

"Hey! Get back here!" She called and chased after him.

The two of them flew through the trees. Dodging and weaving between the branches.

Deathbringer May have been an agile assassin, but he was a bit bigger and bulkier compared to Glory's lithe form.

They came to an opening in the forest. A beautiful one too. There was a small, crystal clear water fall that fed into a pond that seemed perfect for swimming. There was an array of different flowers too. Pink, red, white, and yellow flowers decorated the place.

Glory was breathless. Deathbringer landed next to the pond. "I wanted to take you here before the sun fell. But I think you see that I clearly failed in doing so," Deathbringer chuckled nervously. Glory landed beside him.

"I hope you like it," he twined their tails together.

"I-" Glory took another good look around the place. "I love it!" Deathbringer smiled. Partly because his work paid off, but mainly just because Glory was happy.

"Did you do this all by yourself?" She asked.

"Nope. I had, let's see, Jambu, Orchid, Mangrove, and Tamarin help me set up the flowers," he counted each dragon on his talon.

The sun had finally set, revealing the stars of the night. The sky still had a purple hue that faded into orange the more west you looked.

Glory suddenly lept forward into the pond of water, splashing Deathbringer in the process. "Agh! Hey, you got water all over me!" Glory giggled.

"Stop being such a dragonet and get in here with me," Glory said as she splashed more water at him.

Deathbringer smiled. He took off his pouch of shurikens and jumped in with her.

The two splashed around in the water for awhile, all the way until the sun had completely hidden its rays behind the horizon and the moons was high in the sky.

The two emerged onto the shore, still laughing at themselves. Glory rolled onto her back to admire the stars. Deathbringer did the same. "There's the Big Dipper," Glory pointed towards the constellation.

"You mean Ursa Major?" Deathbringer asked smugly.

"Ok, smart ass."

"I'm just saying," he put his talons up defensively. "And over there is Orion, Scorpio," he trailed off.

"How do you know all of those?" Glory asked.

"I have all of those constellations on my wings," he said nonchalantly. Glory looked over at him. She felt bad for not knowing that for some reason.

"My mother told me that if I wasn't a male, she would've named me Constellation. But I was a male, destined to bring death, so that's how I got my name," he shrugged, clearly he didn't find it too interesting.

They sat there in silence, watching the stars. Glory wanted to ask why he never told her about the constellations on his wings, but perhaps every NightWing did so he never thought about it. She'll just ask him later.

"I have something I want to show you," Deathbringer said in a series tone. He got up and walked to his pouch.

Glory followed. "What is it?" She asked as he reached in his bag. He pulled something out and hid it from her.

"Glory, you know I love you right?" He asked.

"Of course!" She replied.

"And you love me?"

"More than you could imagine," she cupped his cheek with her talon to prove a point.

"Then-" he revealed a small box that he hid behind him and opened it.

It had a simple ring in it that was made of rose gold and looped around then connected, similar to the infinity symbol. It also had a small hollow heart that was half diamond and half black titanium.

"Then will you marry me?" He asked, his eyes sparkling with hope and compassion.

Glory was left breathless yet again. She smiled as a tear rolled down her face. "I...of course I'll marry you!" She lunged forward and hugged her new fiancé.

"I love you so much!" Glory cried.

"I love you too, dear," he said with glassy eyes. They broke apart from their hug and turned it into a kiss, then a make out session.

Glory dragged Deathbringer on top of her. They broke away for air. The two just stared into one another's eyes. They smirked at one another, knowing what was about to happen, then continued making out.
