How am I supposed to get these two together? Is this ship even legal? I guess I can try  to make it happen.

Winter x Clay

"Winter! That is the final straw, go to Clay's office right now and see what he has to say about your behavior!" Bellowed Webs, aggressively pointing out the door of the classroom.

Winter mumbled a few angry swears, but eventually found himself walking towards Clay's office.

Once he got there, Winter peered into the room to see Clay writing down a few notes while humming a cheerful song. Oh yeah, and eating a papaya.

"I was told to see you," Winter grumbled with agitation.

"For what?" Clay asked, his mouth full of papaya.

"I mouthed off to Webs and he didn't like that too much so...now I'm here," Winter spread his arms out gesturing to the room.

"I see," Clay scratched his chin as if thinking of something. "This is third time this week you've been in here. Is everything ok?" Clay asked the IceWing.

"Yes, everything is perfectly fine," Winter barked at the question. He didn't want to face the truth.

"Are you sure? I heard that you are or were having family issue. Is that correct?" He asked in response.

"Hmph. Maybe," he mumbled

"Maybe? I need a definitive answer Winter," Clay leaned in, acting like he truly cared.

The way Clay stared at Winter with caring, amber eyes, it was enough to make anyone spill the truth.

"Ok, yeah, I might of had a few issues with my family. So what!?" Winter barked.

"Well, do you maybe think that these family issues are causing this psychogenic anger of yours?" Clay tilted his head. "Did I use that word right?"

Winter just shrugged. To both of his questions. "Well , I know that just punishing you won't solve anything, I need to fix the root of the issue here," Clay said with concern.

It confused Winter, that someone he doesn't know would care so much about him. He kinda liked it.

Or maybe that was just the persona he wanted Winter to see. "So do you want to talk about them? Maybe that will make you feel better and maybe I can help resolve them," the tone in Clay's voice, it was genuine. He truly was a big mushy MudWing with a warm heart.

"Y-Yeah. We can talk about it," and that's what they did.

For awhile Winter vented to Clay about all of his problems and issues and Clay gave advice and talked about some of the things that happened when he was younger.

The two got along quite well believe it or not. They also had way more in common then you'd think. Both of them came from parents that don't care about them and were always pushing them to be something they weren't.

Eventually, the gong rang for Winter to go to his next class, and Clay had more papers to fill out and grade. "I guess I need to go now," Winter complained.

"Unfortunately. It was nice talking to you though, Winter."

"You too, Clay." Winter got off his haunches and started towards the door.

"Maybe we can talk some more later?" Clay asked before he left.

Winter turned to look at him. "Sure. I'd like to talk to you some more," Winter smiled. Clay returned it.

Winter finally exited the office with a smile still plastered on his face. He was looking forward to talking with Clay again.

He truly enjoyed it, Clay just made him feel so calm relaxed. Free from the stress of his family and school.

Really Winter? First Moon now Clay? Damn. Watch it, you're gonna lose him to Peril like you lost Moon to Qibli. He scolded himself over the thought.

He decided to just enjoy the moments that he did have with him.

That was painful to write.

I personally ship Clay with Peril and Winter with...nobody. Although I will put him with one of my OCs if I ever get to that part in my book.

Also, isn't Clay 7 and Winter, like, 5? I just don't think that's- *kicks down door* I'm Chris Hansen with Dateline NBC
