Let's see what we get this time!

19. We just did Blue, so let's roll again.

Ok. 13 and 6. Hmm. Winter and Peril. Doesn't really seem possible? No. Wait. I have an idea!

Winter X Peril

Peril loved visiting Sanctuary when she was out of school. Seeing all the multi-colored dragons and all of the scavengers run around was a nice break from the Sky Kingdom. Plus she got to see Winter!

Ever since he moved here and dropped school, he has really opened up some. Especially now that he got to do what he really wanted to do, own scavengers. He's discovered they're really good at mimicking dragons. One time one of them even said hello back to him!

"Hey Winter," Peril said happily as she bounded up to him.

Winter instinctively flinched away. "Oh, hey Peril. Long time no see." He said then continued watching his scavengers. Peril peaked over the barrier at them. Two of them were sitting side by side, gossiping with squeaks and occasionally motioning towards the two dragons watching them. "What are you in town for?"

"To see you," she smiled. Winter cocked his head a bit but didn't respond. "Would you like to eat dinner together maybe? We haven't seen each other in a while and it could be good to catch up," she offered.

"Uh, sure. That doesn't sound bad. I was getting hungry anyway," he added that last part a bit quickly, like he made it up. Or perhaps Peril was just seeing ghost again, she was pretty bad at reading other dragons.

Winter invited her inside his stone home. "Just be super careful with the roof," he said with a wince. Peril looked up and saw the wooden roof.

"Ooh, for sure," she responded while staring at it blankly.

"Care to help start the fire?" He asked as he opened up a chest near the cooking pit. Peril responded with glee, happy she could help. As she approached the pit she noticed the chest Winter was going through was misting, like ice was in it.

"What's up with that chest?" She asked as she quickly grabbed a log and tossed it into the pit before it could drop cinders on the floor or leave smoke in the house.

"Oh this? IceWings call them ice boxes. We put a stone slab at the bottom, freeze it with our breath, then put raw meat on top to keep it fresh," he sounded proud of the invention. To be fair, he should be proud. That was a smart idea. SkyWings had to douse their meats with salt or smoke them, the former messing with the taste and the latter taking very long and not being super effective.

"That's cool," she said, then giggled when she noticed her own pun. "No pun intended," she smiled and added another log on the fire.

Winter sighed and shook his head playfully. "If you say so," he walked up beside her and placed a slab of meat on the metal bars over the pit. "Could you push the logs back a bit? Not all of the smoke is going in the chimney," he asked politely.

"Sure, no problem, Winter," Peril stuck her talon into the fire and adjusted the logs.

"Thanks."
