Chapter 20

~Annabelle~

"Wakey,wakey eggs and bakey." James said banging pots and pans

"Were the pots and pans really necessary." I snap frantically, suddenly looking for a dead body.

I slipped and heard my mother's voice.

"Everything is okay darling." My mother says morhping from James's body.

"How, how." I say crawling away as fast as possible.

"I heard you're happy now. DO YOU REALLY THINK YOU CAN BE HAPPY." she screamed

"I'm, I'm sorry, please." I say shaking my head cover my ears

"Annabelle, Annabelle. You're fine. You're safe. Anna." My mother disappeared and James morphed back.

I looked up and hugged James as if he were my pillow. I couldn't stop shakily laughing. In then got up and looked for Daniel hoping he didn't see any of it.

"Daniel left. Are you OK." James said disappointed

"I'm fine. You must really like him." I said sitting in front of him.

"We talked and I feel like I can talk to him about everything." He said dazing

"Awww that's cute. I'm really happy for you." I said pushing at his chest.

"Maybe we can have a double date." He said pushing my shoulder

"I don't know. Ash and I aren't official." I said heading toward the staircase.

"Could've fooled me." He said with a smirk

I rolled my and eyes and walked to the bathroom. My back is sore from sleeping on the couch and decided to take a quick hot shower. As I'm undressing myself, I can't stop thinking about the episode that happened. I look in the mirror and see a hint of green in my eyes. She did this. I'm not letting her take over my life anymore.

I stepped into the shower and stood there thinking. I grab my body wash and wash up. I wrap my towel around my body and look in my closet. What to wear.

"Dress to impress." James said sitting on my bed

I roll my eyes and tilt my head in consideration. What should I wear and not look like I work the corner. I decided to wear casual clothes and walked downstairs. I grabbed some orange juice and grapes and walked out the door.

As I'm walking to school, someone hugs me from behind. James starts laughing making me at ease.

"Guess who."

"Is it my handsome mysterious stranger from yesterday." I say smiling.

"Maybe." Ash whispers in my neck kissing it.

I touched his hands and he turned me around,looking me in my eyes.

"Hey." I say smiling looking down at the ground.

"Hi." He says leaning in.

"What are you doing." I say moving my face

"Trying to ki-" He started but was cut off by me.

"Now you can stop waiting." I say and walk away hand in hand.
