~ Ashton's POV~
I couldn't stop looking into those beautiful hazel eyes. I just kept thinking if I looked any longer, I would eventually know her story. The darkness behind them.
'' Excuse me, Mr. Irwin?'' My chemistry teacher Mr. Dick asked.
'' Yes Mr. Dick.'' I asked snapping out of my trance.
'' It's Mr.Rick'' He corrected, glaring at me.
'' Oh, my mistake.'' I smirked.
'' Can you have a seat, Mr. Lover boy.'' He said as the class started to snicker.
I rolled my eyes and sat back in my seat next to Cal. I would just have to talk to her after class.
'' Mr. Lover boy. Are you with us?'' Michael asked
'' Yeah. Sorry.'' I said staring at the back of her head.
'' Is it shaped funny?'' Cal asked
'' What?'' I said looking at him
'' Her head. You keep staring at it, so their must be something wrong with it.'' He said matter-of-factly.
'' Stop being such an arse.'' I said rolling my eyes
'' Why did you keep staring into her eyes.'' They asked in unison
'' I couldn't stop. She has a dark past. I just know it.'' I looked back at them and they looked back at me with disbelief.
'' Sure'' They said as the bell rang.
I picked up my books and practically raced to the door. I waited for her to come out the class and she was busy talking to some guy. I should be that guy she is talking to, but he sure is a lucky guy.
'' Excuse me?'' I asked and she turned to face me.
'' I'm going to go.'' Her friend said and leaned in to whisper something. She rolled her eyes and shoved him.
'' I'm James.'' He said extending his hand.
" Ashton.'' I said not really in the mood to shake hands, which I did anyway.
'' I'm Annabelle.'' She said staring me in the eyes. I looked right back. I couldn't help the shiver that crept up my spine. What was she hiding?
