Jaylin's POV
The day was almost over. I was at lunch and the principal came up to me. I just figured that one of my foster siblings was hurt. The principal led me to my classroom and told me to get my backpack because my foster Father was here to pick me up. I grabbed my backpack and sprinted to the office.
The only reason my foster father comes to pick kids up from school early was because they were getting adopted. I waited for the principal in the office. He told my foster dad that he could take me home. I ran to the car and got in the back seat.
When the car pulled into the driveway, my foster dad told me that the family that was adopting me was going be here in an hour. I walked into the house and went upstairs to pack my stuff.
I was almost done packing when I heard a knock on my door. I opened the door and continued to pack. I looked up and my foster mother was at the door. I stopped packing.
"I just hope this family is your forever family, Jay," my foster mother said. "Me too," I replied. My foster mother helped me finish packing then we went and waited downstairs for the family to come.
An hour passed and the family never came. I tried to get the name of the family but my foster mom kept telling me that it was a surprise. I became tired and ended up falling asleep on the couch.
I felt something lightly tap my shoulder and I heard a soft voice call out my name. I opened my eyes and another pair of beautiful brown eyes were staring back at me. I didn't know who in the world this women was, but she made me happier than anyone else in this whole universe. Maybe I should find out who she is.
I sat up and gave her a confused look. The lady gave me the same look. "Oh, I'm sorry. My name is Colleen. I'm going to be your sister. I am adopting you but I don't want to be your mom. So I'm going to be your sister." Colleen said. I smiled at her and got off the couch. I grabbed my backpack and suit case and waited for Colleen. She was talking to my foster mother.
After Colleen was done talking to my foster mother, my foster mother came up to me. She gave me a hug and kissed my forehead. I told her I loved her and then left with Colleen.
