Chapter 5

Colleen' POV

Jaylin fell asleep on Rachel so she put her in the fort and joined me back on the couch. "So when are you planning on telling her that we are YouTubers?" Rachel asked "Well I don't want to make her feel uncomfortable. She just got here and I don't want to scare her." I said "Yea I guess you're right. I say a week from now. Okay?" Rachel asked. I nodded.

The rest of the night we just talked about how different our lives are going to be now that there is another little Ballinger sister around. I was just about to call it a night when I heard Jaylin screaming my name from the fort.

Rachel and I ran into the fort and checked to see what was wrong with mom and dad on our heels. Because Rachel is so protective, she was the one who was trying to wake Jaylin up and calm her down. "What happened?" mom screamed talked to me. "I don't know. Rachel and I were sitting on the couch talking and all the sudden she started screaming." I said with my voice shaky.

Just then Rachel crawled out of the fort. "She won't wake up. I tried everything." Rachel said. Mom went into the fort to see what she could do. Rachel hugged me. I could feel her heart beating. "Colleen, we need you in here." Dad screamed from the fort. I crawled over to Jaylin. I cuddled her and kept whispering in her ear that everything was okay and that I was here. I kissed her forehead and kept cuddling her. After 2 minutes of continuously whispering in her ear and cuddling her, she finally calmed down.

I made sure that she was fully asleep before I came out of the fort. "She's asleep." I said to everyone. But mostly to Rachel because I know how bad that scared her. "Okay. If it happens again, wake me up." Mom said. "I will. " Rachel said. "Goodnight girls," dad said as he followed mom into the bedroom.

"Hey Ray, can you watch Jaylin while I use the bathroom? I don't want to leave her alone again." I asked. She nodded her head and I went to the bathroom. When I came out of the bathroom, Rachel used the bathroom as well.

About a minute later Rachel came out of the bathroom and layed down next to Jaylin. Before I layed down to go to sleep, I whispered "She'll be fine," to Rachel. She nodded and kissed Jaylin on the cheek. She started to cuddle Jaylin and soon fell asleep.

I guess Rachel feels so scared because tonight is her first night being a big sister. I kissed Jaylin and Rachel on the cheek and started to fall asleep. I felt Jaylin grab my hand and snuggle into Rachel a little more. I fell asleep that night holding Tue hand of my new baby sister.
