IT'S BEEN A MONTH

since Y/N entered school and ever since then, Y/N always hung out with Manjiro and Baji, making the three of them really close. They would all have lunch together, her bento given to her by her brother since their lunch happens at the same time. She would eat, laugh, and talk with Manjiro and Baji and for the first time, she really enjoyed someone else's company, other than Shinichiro's and her brother's.

Her academics were actually pretty good as well and she was able to keep up with the class. Despite being a year younger and joining school in the middle of the school year, she was able to catch up with all the lessons, in fact, she became the top of the class.

Her classmates, surprisingly in Y/N's perspective, also wanted to be friends with her which made her very happy but she doesn't hang out with them much since Manjiro and Baji would always be with her and the other students would be scared at the glares they receive from the two boys. Though, when Y/N's the one who approaches them, the two can't do anything but let her.

Y/N didn't mind though. She remembered her brother's words, that not everyone will like you and will truly like you. Plus, she wasn't stupid. She knew that someone would befriend her because of her brother, what they would get from it, she has no idea but the fact that this is inevitable, she became cautious about the people she would trust. That's why she doesn't say anything when she notices the glares Manjiro and Baji give towards her other classmates.

"N/N-chin," Y/N turns her head from her bento to Baji and Manjiro, a puzzled look on her face seeing the two who had their palms together and were making 'puppy doe eyes', "Can you help us with our homework in Math?" The simultaneously said, begging for her to teach them in an assignment they couldn't understand.

Y/N kept on chewing the rice balls inside her mouth, giving them a look as if she was thinking about it. She watched as they made their faces even more hopeful, causing her to internally giggle.

After gulping the remnants of her food she spoke, "Sure, I'll ask Aki if you could come to our house or I can come to Manji-kun's." She said before eating a takoyaki.

Manjiro and Baji high fived with delight at the thought of finally passing Math. They all continued eating their lunch and packed up when the bell rang and their other classmates came in. Y/N wrapped her now empty bento with the same cloth it had before and placed it inside her bag, bringing out her notebook and pencil.

After class, like always, Aki and Shinichiro were waiting for the three outside their classroom, ready to go home. Y/N picked up her bag and walked towards the door with Manjiro and Baji. As soon as Aki saw them, he waved and took Y/N's bag, slinging it over his other shoulder.

As they walked out of school grounds and down the street, Y/N suddenly remembered to ask Aki about the homework teaching, "Hey, Onii-chan..."

"Hmm?" Aki hummed, looking down on her, holding her hand. She was in the middle of the four boys, Manjiro and Baji on the inner side of the sidewalk while Aki and Shinichiro on the other.

Y/N looked at him, "Manji-kun and Kei-kun needs my help in our Math homework and I was wondering if they could come to our place or we could go to Manji-kun's."

Manjiro and Baji immediately silenced and eavesdropped on the conversation since this did involve them.

Aki scratched the back of his head, "I don't know if Mother and Father would allow us to take them to our house..." He then eyed the two who had pleading faces on, their palms together.
