HOW DOES ONE DEFINE THE WORD "NORMAL?"

Is it based on how you are accepted by society?

Or how a person's everyday life is like a routine?

Or was it the fact that they can live their lives the way they want to?

No life threatening problems, no heavy responsibilities, no chains.

Just peace, calmness, and freedom.

How about a 'comfortable' life?

Does a person have a comfortable life when they're financially capable of having anything they want and have a steady career?

Or is it when they live a life in the way they want to, a life mostly filled with delight and liberty?

Everyone wants a normal, comfortable life, one that they can be in peace with.

Everyone can have that kind of life.

But unfortunately, there are some who could only dream of having it.

Not because they aren't financially stable enough to have one.

But because of the chains that keeps them grounded to where they have to be.

"Miss Y/N?"

The said girl hummed, not removing her gaze from the scenery outside. She remained unmoving, not even sparing a single glance at the doctor that saw her sitting on her bed, mindlessly looking outside.

The doctor spoke, "We'll just check your vitals again and change your bandage."

The girl nodded once without looking away from outside. She remained unfazed as the doctor and nurse he was with started to check on her, another nurse preparing what was needed to change her bandages. She didn't protest nor did anything to stop them, not even sparing them a single glance. She just let them do what they have to do since she knew they would never try anything that would be bad for her.

Unless they have a death wish.

After Y/N and Mikey went back to tell everyone the good news about Deaken along with Takemichi and the others, she suddenly fell to the ground, her abdomen bleeding profusely. Everyone went into a state of panic, especially the hospital staff present.

They immediately took her away from Mikey's arms, who didn't want her to go and just be with her, but Mitsuya and Peh-yan stopped him from beating up the frightened nurses who kept him out of the operating room. The same doctors Y/N worked with when they performed the operation on Draken worked on her as well.

Acoording to them, the stab wound was deeper than the one Draken had, however, it was unnoticeable due to the color of her dress that was actually soaked, not only with rain water, but also with most of her blood, the reason why they didn't saw her bleeding immediately.

Most were questioned why she didn't say anything about it earlier and even manage to act fine after getting stabbed, but Mikey and Mitsuya knew it wasn't only because of the adrenaline from everything that was happening.

It was also because she was already used to getting injured and was basically numb to the feeling of pain.

She doesn't remember much after she passed out. When she woke up, she was already in one of their private rooms, all hooked up to an IV with a heart rate monitor beside her and her abdomen wrapped with bandages. The doctors said that she lost a lot of blood but were still able to save her. If they were a few more minutes late...
