When he got there I couldn't take it any longer and I tuned my cheek so my lips met his and we shared a kiss sweeter than the maple syrup we had at breakfast yesterday.

"Flynn we were walking," I reminded him and I turned and faced the trail we were on. My cheeks were flushed and all I wanted to do was kiss him breathless but not in the middle of a hiking trail.

Flynn's groan of defeat let me know he would rather skip the hiking as well, but we pressed on.

We made it up to this little lookout point thing and we stopped where to rest. "Is this in your plan?" I teased Flynn as I looked out across the open sky. There were so many trees it was mesmerizing. I was amazed I was surrounded by all of this life.

"Actually...it was," Flynn told me. He wrapped his arms around my waist and stood behind me so my back was pressed against his chest.

"How's that?" I asked. His cheek was brushing my ear and I was having a hard time suppressing the urge to turn my neck and kiss him. Why did I want to kiss him all the time? It was just every position we were in made it so easy. Okay that sounded a bit more explicit than I meant, but hey, it's the truth.

"I wanted to show you something," Flynn began, "You see that waterfall in the distance?"

I nodded my head yes.

"It is beautiful, but not as beautiful as you," Flynn confessed. I smiled and I could already see where this was going. "You see that large oak tree down below?" Flynn asked.

I nodded my head yes.

"It is majestic, but not as majestic as you," Flynn told me. I turned to look at him, to say something, but he forced my head back towards the scenery. "You see that doe grazing in that field?"

I nodded my head yes because I did.

"It is innocent, but not as innocent as you," Flynn's lips brushed my cheek and ear and I swear he knew just how much that affected me.

"Faith?" a voice from the past yelled and I jolted away from Flynn and turned around to see a very confused Vince walking towards me.

What the hell was he doing here.

"Vince?" I yelled. What was going on? What are the odds I would run into someone I knew in the middle of Montana.

"You know him?" Flynn asked me. He reached for my hand but I stepped away. I didn't mean to be rude, but I didn't want Vince to see too much. This was my moment, my summer with Flynn, but now Vince was drawing me back to memories about home.

"Yeah, he-" I began, but Vinny interrupted me.

"Hello, I'm Vince Romano, you must be Flynn," Vinny reached towards Flynn to give him a handshake, but Flynn just looked at it confused.

"How did you know his name?" I interrogated Vinny, "What are you doing here?"

"Your mother sent me," Vinny said matter of factly. His eyes met mine and I felt like my head was about to spin off of my neck.

"My mom what?" I asked. No. This could not be happening right now. My mother sent the only other guy I used to have a crush on after me in the middle of the Rocky Mountains.

"She's worried about you-"

"I'm fine!" I exclaimed. I threw my hands up in frustration and felt like I wanted to throw something down the cliff.

"That's the most common lie ever told," Vinny reminded me.

"Why does everyone keep telling me that?" I yelled. First Flynn and now Vinny.
