We drove for hours but the time seemed to fly by. The only reason we stopped was to get gas or get food, or make out occasionally, but that only happened twice, or three times. Okay yeah definitely three times.

We crossed the Colorado border around six and Flynn informed me that his Aunt lived just another thirty minutes away. Apparently she had married a rich psychologist who built this mansion on the side of a mountain with floor to ceiling glass windows that showed you the most magnificent scenery you could imagine.

"Do you stop here every year as well?" I wondered aloud.

"Of course. My Aunt Jennie used to beg me to come visit her. She never had any kids of her own so growing up she was like the closest thing I had to a mother. She was never around in person though, she always flew all over the world and would send my father back some trinket from every foreign country she visited," Flynn recalled. "She's my dad's sister and they were total opposites, but they care about each other. I was kind of jealous of them actually since I don't have my siblings of my own."

"So she's like the cool aunt. I feel like everyone has a cool aunt. You know, the one who buys teenagers alcohol and gets them into clubs?" I asked Flynn.

He laughed a little and nodded his head yes, "Yeah, I guess if that's a real thing, then my aunt would fit right in to the mix."

"I can't wait to meet her," I said excitedly. Anyone in Flynn's past interested me, especially some rich aunt who seemed a bit rebellious.

"Oh don't worry, she will be extremely excited to meet you too," Flynn told me, a hint of all knowingness seeping into his voice.

"What do you mean?" I asked. The way he was grinning was scaring me, and I could only see the side of his face.

"Let's just say she has been dying for me to get a girlfriend and every year when I stop to see her the first thing she does is ask me if I have found the one," Flynn explained. He turned off the main road and began to climb up the side of a hill. I could see the gleam of a rooftop in the distance, but it was quickly hidden by trees.

"I see," I pursed my lips in thought.

"This year," Flynn continued, "I can finally tell her that I have indeed...found the elusive 'one', and it was a complete accident," Flynn chuckled.

I giggled with him because when he turned to look back at me he just looked so happy and proud of himself, it contrasted with the bad boy attire he was wearing, but I loved it.

We drove in silence for the rest of the way up what I now realized wasn't just a road, but a driveway. When we pulled up in front of the house it took my breath away. It was all wood and stone and brick and glass and just a hunk of a house plopped into the middle of the woods. It looked so warm and inviting yet so modern and classy at the same time.

I wanted to live there. I just wanted to stay forever and I hadn't even been inside yet.

"You can close your mouth now," Flynn told me as he helped me take my helmet off despite me never needing help before.

I shut my mouth because it had indeed been hanging open and glared at him playfully. He could sure be full of it sometimes.

"Flynn! My darling how are you!" a voice yelled to us from the massive front door.

I turned around to see a petite lady who couldn't be older than forty running towards us with open arms. Flynn turned around just in time before he was mauled over by the woman.

"Hey Aunt Jennie. I'm doing really well, how about yourself?" Flynn asked politely.

"Oh gosh my day just got so much better now that you are here! I thought you usually got here earlier in the week and I was beginning to get worried but now here you are and wow I am simply so happy to see you. I love this hair look you've got going on, that bandana a new thing?" she finally ran out of breath and paused for Flynn's response.

"Uh I'm not sure I just thought I would wear it. And I actually got a little sidetracked getting here," Flynn admitted. His ears reddened and he stepped aside to reveal me behind him. "Aunt Jennie I'd like you to meet Faith Valenti, my..." he turned to look at me and I smiled reassuringly, "my girlfriend."

"Girlfriend!" Aunt Jennie screeched so loudly I actually flinched to cover my ears, "Why this is cause for celebration! Come here my darling and give me a hug. It's not every day that this young man brings a girl to meet his aunt. Actually it's never happened before, isn't that right Flynny?"

"That's correct ma'am," Flynn replied. He was smiling at me but he also looked a little embarrassed.

Aunt Jennie wrapped me in a quick hug before she grabbed my wrist and started pulling me inside. She grabbed Flynn's wrist as well and we followed her like two children who had done something wrong.

"I love her," I mouthed to Flynn his aunt wouldn't hear.

"She loves you," Flynn mouthed back with a wiggle of his eyebrows which caused me laugh.

"What's so funny? Is it my hair? I knew the red was a bit bold-"

"Oh no I love your hair," I reassured her with a smile.

"Oh if you say so," Aunt Jennie brushed off the topic.

We entered the foyer and I was overwhelmed with the decor. There whole floorplan was open with a staircase to the left leading up to a loft area which was also open. It was like everyplace a wall would normally there wasn't one. I could look straight back and out the biggest windows I had ever seen. The sun was slowly descending behind the mountain across the way and it was sending an array of oranges and pinks across the sky.

"I love your home," I complimented Flynn's aunt.

"You haven't even seen anything yet. Wait until you see the basement," Aunt Jennie winked back at me and continued to pull us along.

"The basement is heaven," Flynn explained as we found a staircase heading down and quickly descended it.

"Why?" I asked but I soon didn't need answer.

When I looked around the giant room I had just entered it was like I was in my own personal heaven. To my right was a kitchen with the newest appliances and workspaces. There were more windows which made it seem less like a basement and more like a second floor. We had gone down yes, but only deeper into the mountain.

"Come over here," Flynn motioned to me and I followed him to my left.

"Is this a movie theater?" I asked even though it clearly was. She had her own person in home movie theater.

"And a swimming pool," Aunt Jennie added proudly, "It's back there," she pointed deeper into the "basement" as she called it.

"What? That's so cool!" I exclaimed. I honestly just wanted to stay here for the rest of my life.

"And out here," Flynn took my hand, "is where we will be spending the night."

He led me over to the windows which I now realized were doors and opened them up to a porch. We stepped outside and I saw outdoor furniture littering the area as well as a grill and a huge pillow filled ring which I am guess was where we would be sleeping.

"I always like to sleep out here and look at the stars, I hope you will like it too," Flynn whispered in my ear.

"Of course," I replied. I kissed him quickly on the cheek, but he caught my cheek and brought my lips back for a proper kiss.

"Okay okay you two can make out later. Come on, tour isn't over yet," Aunt Jennie grabbed out arms even when our lips were still interlocked.

"Later," Flynn pressed the word into my ear with a brush of his lips and I fought hard to stop the flush from spreading over me. I didn't want to be so vulnerable to his touch but the truth was I couldn't resist it.
