Pulling into the parking lot of Nicky's, a frequented hotspot for the students of Spenser, Abilene glanced over at Reid, "So, if my brother swings at you make sure you duck."

Snorting, he shook his head as they climbed from her car.  Taking her hand as she came around to meet him, he kissed her knuckles, "It'll be fine," he assured her.

"Yeah okay," she muttered as the two made their way inside.

The music was blaring, and the place was already filled with Spenser students content on celebrating their last night of freedom before school officially began the next morning.  Spotting Dakota and Tyler over by the pool tables they made their way towards their friends.

"Are you two the only ones here?" Reid asked as the four greeted one another.  Eyeing Abilene's hand in Reid's, Tyler shook his head, "No, the rest are over at a table.  Pogue is the only one not here," he answered.

Nodding Reid asked Abilene if she was hungry.

"Not right now.  We could shoot some pool before we eat," she responded.

"We can do that," he agreed kissing the side of her head before grabbing two more pool sticks from the wall.

"I'm sorry, but can we back up?  Last I left you two you were ready to kill one another," Dakota stated, "And now what?  You're like taking your dirty little secret out into the open?" she questioned looking between the two as Reid handed Abilene a pool stick.

Smiling Abilene shrugged, "What can I say he wore me down," she said, winking at Reid as she racked the balls on the pool table.  "I'm persuasive," he retorted smirking back at her.

"Caleb's gonna lose his shit," Tyler muttered rubbing chalk on his pool stick.

"Oh, oh definitely gonna lose his shit," Dakota agreed pointing towards where Caleb was sitting in a corner with Sarah, Kate, and Chase.

"Reid has assured me it'll be alright," Abilene said before taking the break shot smiling when two solid balls landed in the pockets, "And if his head explodes that's just a bonus."

"Good lord," Dakota mumbled rolling her eyes as Reid stole a kiss from her best friend

"Good lord," Dakota mumbled rolling her eyes as Reid stole a kiss from her best friend.

"So, you seriously haven't felt any weird energy?" Abilene questioned Dakota after telling her about the weird magic she'd felt the night before and again this morning.

"I didn't feel anything last night," Dakota told her, "And this morning I mean I felt like a spark, but I figured it was you and Reid either yelling at each other still or making up if you know what I mean," she laughed.

"It definitely wasn't that.  At least not this morning but if you felt something this afternoon well then yeah that was us," Abilene whispered giggling as Reid must have sensed she was talking about him, and he winked at her from across the pool table.
