"Why can't we break through?" Dakota cried opening her eyes and looking around the small circle she, Abilene, Tyler, and Reid had made around Pogue's hospital bed.
"I don't know," Abilene replied tiredly, "We're channeling the elements and the boys, but it's like he has him linked to something else. Maybe himself or Kate? Maybe we need to try and get through Kate's spell at the same time?" she questioned, unsure why they couldn't break the link between Pogue and Chase.
"It's dark magic. We don't have any experience with it," Tyler reminded them as he wrapped his arms around Dakota.
"We punched holes through it though so that's something," Reid reminded them.
"Not enough. He wakes then goes back under," Abilene sighed rubbing her eyes.
"It could be worse. He could've taken Dakota down too," Reid said, "Thank God Tyler's bracelet blocked the magic."
"I guess that's the brighter side of things, but it doesn't help my brother," Dakota sniffled, looking down on Pogue laying so still.
Turning at the sound of the door opening the four greeted Caleb as he entered the room, "Did you go get Sarah?" Abilene asked, looking behind her brother for the blonde.
"She's in the waiting room," he replied going immediately to the side of Pogue's hospital bed, "Have you gotten through?"
"Not completely," Reid answered, "He comes and goes."

Leaning over Pogue, Caleb placed his hands on his chest before closing his eyes.
"K...ota," Pogue gasped as his eyes flew open. Looking around the room he moved his fingers towards Dakota who left Tyler's arms to climb into the bed with her twin.
"We can't get through the magic," Dakota cried laying her head on his shoulder.
"He's...........str...ong. Sss...tay....aw..ay....f....rom.....h...im," Pogue managed to whisper before falling back unconscious.
"Well, that might be difficult," Caleb said with a sigh, "He went after Sarah, and attacked me. Told me what he wants."
"He wants Abilene's gift," Reid said, angrily.
"And mine. His father willed him his power."
"No wonder he's so damn strong," Abilene realized, cutting off her brother.
"Yes well, he now wants me to will him my power tonight, after we ascend," Caleb informed them, "And then he wants Abilene to bond her soul with his, so he stops aging."
"That's not fucking happening," Reid muttered.
"Neither one of you are doing what he wants," Tyler spoke up, "You'll die for sure," he said looking at Caleb, "And you aren't going to lose your magic and possibly die either," he continued looking at Abilene.
