Abilene Danvers is the twin sister to Caleb. The women in the covenant draw their magic from the four elements. The nature of their magic doesn't age them. The men in the covenant have a magic that will slowly drain their life if they overuse. O...
Pulling up to the gate of the colony house Reid parked her car and they both got out and headed down the path to the house hand in hand, "Did you let Gorman know we were coming?" he asked.
"I called him earlier," she told him.
"Good, I don't need to get shot tonight."
"I don't usually need a reason to want to shoot you," spoke a voice in the dark as Gorman appeared from the side of the house.
"Such a charmer," Reid commented sarcastically.
Ignoring the blonde, Gorman turned to Abilene, "Will you be stopping upstairs?"
Biting her lip she shook her head, "Not tonight, Gorman."
Making a disapproving noise in the back of his throat he simply nodded before opening the door to the house for them to enter. Taking her hand Reid led her inside and to the door leading down to the basement of the colony house where they kept the Book of Damnation amongst other items pertaining to the craft.
Raising her hand, the candles lit with fire as they walked down the steps letting the door close behind them.
With a flashing of Reid's eyes, the Book of Damnation flew off the bookcase landing on the pedestal in the center of the room surrounded by fire, "Alright let's start at the beginning," he decided as they settled down to look for anything that could help them.

More than an hour later Abilene groaned before standing up and pacing, "This is useless. It's mostly just history and a couple of useless spells," she complained.
"The charms for protection against dark magic aren't useless," Reid muttered as he continued looking through the book.
"Well maybe not them," she conceded, "I just wish it would say here's how to tell if you're dealing with a good witch or a bad witch and then poof we'd know."
Laughing he pulled her down to his lap, "Well maybe that's all we have to do. You're supposed to be a nature witch so you should be one with nature. Try and concentrate on seeing inside of someone and maybe you'll be able to tell if they're good or bad," he suggested.
"I can try I guess," she responded with a shrug.
"We'll figure it out. In the meantime, I want you to wear this," he told her taking his ring off his pinky. With a flash of his eyes, he placed it on her thumb, "I spelled it like the book said. My very own Abilene lojack," he joked.
Smiling she leaned forward and kissed him till they were both breathless and wanting more. Taking a glance around Reid gave her a devilish smile, "You think anyone's done it down here?"
Giggling she shook her head, "This place is sacred," she reminded him, "We can't do that here."
"Why not? What's more sacred then two people completely in love, making love, surrounded by centuries of magic. It would be just like Putnam Barn but like a thousand percent more," he said referring to one of their favorite hookup spots out at old Putnam Barn.
