Hi! I'm so glad you've stuck around until now! I had so much fun writing this chapter. There's a lot of things revealed about both the characters. This one is longer than the previous ones so enjoy😘

"Tomorrow, my place, bring your stuff and well discuss."

This was the text I got at 2 a.m. I was up finishing The Great Gatsby. That book. I have absolutely no words.

Damn, I love that book.

I had no idea who the person that texted me at 2 in the morning was.

Was it a pornstar? Or maybe a stripper? The text sounded like something these people would say. I didnt even know how to reply.

Should I say, "Im not interested in your services?" Nah, thatll be kind of rude. Or maybe I should write, "Done."

I was so tempted to pick the second one, but I didnt know for sure if the person was a stripper so I just replied with, "Who is this?"

About two seconds later, I got their reply.

"Who met you at the counsellors office, Maddox?"

Natalie.

Even though she was smokin hot, that girl was infuriating. And so scary. I could see the way she looked at Cameron today. That death stare would absolutely destroy every person on this planet. That girl was powerful and she knew it,

I replied, "Send me the address. Ill be there after school."

A ding came from my phone and I saved her address onto my maps. Considering how demanding she was, I was going to be at her place a lot from now on.

I returned my phone to the nightstand and decided to call it a night.

-------------------------------------------------------

I love mornings.

Theres nothing more beautiful and brighter than the view outside when its sunny. It gives me so much serotonin.

I scrolled through TikTok for about 30 minutes before I realised that it had become an addiction and I probably should keep it at bay.

After getting dressed, I went down to eat fruit loops and milk. I love how breakfast was so easy to make.

I love life.

What the fuck, Maddox? Man up, bro.

I let out the breath I didnt know I was holding and looked around for mom and dad. I called out for them but when I received no response, I realised they must be one of their business trips.

I dont even know if they really are business trips at this point. They leave without even a goodbye.

Some parents I have.

I ate my fruit loops and made my way to the bus.

Subconsciously, my eyes searched for Natalie.

I saw her in the back of the bus, leaned against the window, sleeping.

Her long eyelashes fell down on her face, and the sunlight highlighted her perfect cheekbones and her freckles. She was so at peace.

And I didnt want anyone to disturb her.

Unfortunately, the speed breakers on the road had other plans. The bus jerked up and so did her head and she hit the windowsill hard.

I cringed outwardly as she said, "What is wrong with the driver? Cant he see Im sleeping?"
