Three days passed since their arrival at the camp at the coast. Neil had spent most of the time insides, sometimes going out, but not near the beach.
When he had to get out, like for a run or to get to the main building to get food, he'd always taken headphones with him, playing the songs on the playlist over and over on repeat. Andrew would always scoff at him when he went out.

The goalkeeper had mostly stayed with him, but sometimes his teammates came to check on him.
Once it was just Dan and Matt, once it had been all of them together.
Nicky had been texting him every day, even sending pictures of their bungalow, but careful to not send anything beach-related.

"Well, I guess there's nothing we can do to get you swim trunks or near the water", the tall backliner commented as he sat on the couch on the opposite side of Neil.

Matt had his arm around Dan as he sat. She had snuggled up to his side, looking equal parts concerned and happy. The latter probably because she was having a great time with her friends and mates at the beach.

"Nope", Neil agreed, "but I could try."

"That's not a good idea", Dan chirped in, sitting up straighter to get her point over. her hair was still wet from going swimming only ten minutes before they arrived at Andrew and Neil's bungalow.

"You should not go", Matt sympathized.

"I feel bad about keeping you away from the fun out there", Neil stated truthfully, his stare resting on the floor as he did.

"No, no, not at all!", the team captain countered, throwing her hands in the air in a helpless gesture. "Don't you dare thinking of that as your fault", she stabbed a finger in Neil's direction.

"He'll stay inside with me", Andrew told their teammates.
"You will not chicken out, when the sea waves a hand at you, you will not fucking go near that beach or any other"

He brought his point over, but Neil didn't know what to think of that little outburst. Was he actually trying to protect him from getting a panic attack, or was he just tired of Neil running every time something scared him? He decided to rout for both.

Andrew walked around the room then disappeared to somewhere behind Neil, out of his sight.

"But I wanna try sometime", Neil neglected the ideas of the others as he said that. He just shrugged at Dan who had her eyes wider open than before.

"Not today", Andrew said cold. He was obviously not pleased with Neil's opinion on the matter.

Neil turned to look at him. He was leaning his arms against the back of the armchair Neil sat on. A shiver ran down his spine as he felt Andrew's breath against his skin. His heartbeat quickened the pace it pumped blood through his system.

He saw Dan smile at them from the corner of his eye, he turned around to face his friends again. Neil cleared his throat in order to get the embarrassment out of his body.

"Not today", Neil repeated and smiled an awkward smile apologetically. The same moment he wrapped his arms around himself tighter, not really understanding the reflex to do so.

"Good then", Matt announced, clapping his hands together. "Wanna go eat something? I think it's time for dinner."

"Let's go", Dan approved, "I'm dying for some fries"
They shared a smile.

The pair stood in the next seconds as Neil watched. They waited for Neil and Andrew to follow them to the entrance door.

The white wooden door opened with the light push on the polished handle.
Dan waited for the two short guys to pass her, but Neil threw her his piece of mind, "Would you mind giving us a moment?"
