Fishing. How did we go from savage gladiators to fishermen? The pier creaked as several people traversed across it. A few boats pulled in the distance, mostly carrying trade supplies. Sif had requested help with transporting some of these supplies, from literally anyone really. Thor would have helped, but the man was currently unconscious with a severe hangover. So everything was going great.

I picked up a heavy crate, bending my back slightly to secure the weight. Sif maneuvered past me, hauling a crate to big to carry with a chain behind her. The crates scraped against the wooden pier, water lapping gracefully at the supports. I had to admit, the water and crisp air definitely had its share of serenity.

"Can you bring that crate over to the storage house?" Sif set her crate aside, weaving between passerby's.

"Yeah, sure."

I continued my walk with my own, the wood cutting into my shoulder blade each time it jostled. I winced, but it didn't bother me that much. The crisp air was laced with the aroma of salt water, as a flock of seagulls flew over ahead. I made my way to the storage house, dropping the crate with a loud and exaggerated grunt.

Rolling my sleeves up, I wiped sweat from my brow and wiped my hands with a cloth. Looking around, I noticed crates full of old Asgardian artifacts that managed to be scavenged from the rubble. A lot of it was just old clothing, or broken picture frames. I kicked an empty can across the room, watching as a rat shot out from a corner and into the can. Probably hoping to find food.

"That's...actually disgusting."

I shivered, deciding to abandon the storage house and walk along the shoreline. Two children, a boy and a girl, ran past me and frolicked into the shallow water. I smiled softly, before frowning.

"Ki-Ki! Wait up!" Y/n chased the young prince across the shoreline of Asgard, "Uh, Loki!"

Loki splashed into the water, kicking a splash in her direction to drench her. She let out a shriek, her fine dress now plastered to her skin. Her e/c eyes were wide, and she looked absolutely offended.

"Whoops," Loki smiled innocently, his bottom lip pushed out slightly.

She almost immediately started "crying", fumbling over her words and hiding her face. Loki froze, his smile turning into a look of panic.

"I-I'm sorry! I didn't mean to!"

He ran to her, gently squeezing her shoulders. "H-Hey, don't cry! We can go home, and get you dry clothes and—!?"

He was immediately shoved into the water, followed by a loud splash. He blinked, once than twice. Y/n had a devious smirk on her face, "Whoops!"

The prince just sat in the water, confused, dazed and slightly concerned. Y/n extended her hand, her face softening.

"Sorry, Ki-Ki."

"No, I suppose I deserved that," he took her hand and let her haul him to his feet.

The two stood there, watching the waves kiss the sand as the sun slowly began its decent on the horizon. The moment was cut short when Thor's voice was heard in the distance.

"Y/n! Loki!"

He ran across the sand, Frigga following close behind. He stopped short, leaning over to catch his breath. "How are you two so fast?"

"Oh, hey Sparky!" Y/n ran up to him and latched onto his hip, "Sorry, we got excited."

He chuckled, ruffling her hair. Frigga smiled, "Come children, I know an excellent spot to watch the sunset."
