Marly's POV
I get dressed trying to ignore his burning gaze. I put my shirt on "what is it Maddox because if you stare any harder im going to burst into flames." He smiles getting up letting the sheets fall to the ground revealing his naked body.
Damn.
I couldn't help but look down. When i look up he has a shit eating grin. He walks to me "i want to go." He puts my hair behind my ear. "Okay." He smiles "really."
I nod "sure why not. Let me just tell my son that his teacher is here because he is fucking his mommy and now he is going with us to the park."
He groans throwing his head back. "You are a cruel woman Marly Holt." I shrug tapping his chest. "I know and you are still not coming. I added your voice into the system and changed it to English so you can lock the house after you leave."
He smiles making me frown. "why are you smiling." He hugs me putting his hands on my ass. "You just gave me a key or like the science version of it."
I roll my eyes. "Don't get a big head, i can change it back." I walk to my door but he pulls me back for a long kiss.
He always melts me into a puddle.
Fuck!
I stop the kiss "remember to lock up." I walk out closing the door behind me.
I can't fall for him again.

Zabdiel and Angel keep talking about the Tooth fairy while playing on the swings. Zabdiel lost a tooth this morning so they are both excited about tonight. They asked Luna (Zabdiel's mom) if they could have a sleepover to trap the Tooth fairy.
She said yes but i think she is underestimating them. Angel looks determined and that means trouble for her.
Luna touches my neck making me jump. I touch my neck. "What is it?" She smiles "tell Maddox that he doesn't need to be so obvious or you should at least wear makeup because that's a pretty big mark." Fuck. I grab my phone and put it on camera to see.
I have a huge blue and purple love bite. I shake my head "it wasn't Maddox." She rolls her eyes. "Please you think i don't know you guys are doing it? You are letting him walk Angel again."
I shrug "so Angel asked me to." She nods "okay and your calling him Maddox and you actually talk to him and he looks happy AND you look happy like it or not. I know a secret love affair when i see it."
I shake my head looking at Angel. "It's not Love and it's not an affair, it's sex." I can see it in her face that she thinks it's a lie but it isn't. "Do you know that i went on a date with him."
What?
I just shrug pretending not to care. "You and every woman on his age range. He has always been like that. When i meet him he practically had 2 girlfriends and slept with half the school because the other half were guys ANDDD now that i say that out loud i realize that i should have known that he would cheat."
She nods smiling "well 5 minutes into the date we decided that we would be friends. I was in denial about my husband... remind of anyone?"
I flip her off making her smile. "But the real reason was because he would not shut up about his Angel."
"According to him this woman was to beautiful to resist or ignore. To smart to date him so he never understood why she did. She had no filter what so ever, she would yell at you if you were an ass in the middle of the cafeteria."
"And her eyes well that was his favorite part. They were big and when she looked at you she made you feel like the most important person on the universe. Especially when she was looking at him. She made him feel invincible."
I listen trying to slowdown my heart beats.
"I think you should give this version of him a chance but if you don't you will spend your life wondering if you should have." I look down the whole time so they don't see me cry. I can't let go of this anger i have.
I clean my face shaking my head "once a cheater always a cheater." She nods "do you think Luther would ever cheat on me?" I scoff "of course not because he loves you unlike Maddox."
"But he was once a cheater." I clean my face and put my hair up in a ponytail. "That's because he didn't really love her but he loves you enough to not do it and that's my point. Maddox didn't love me enough."
"He didn't love himself enough Marly and there's a different." She shakes her head and i know she will always defend him because that's the kind of person she is. "He was a kid."
"he was only a few months younger than you when you met Luther."
She nods "and you know our story, i made mistakes too. We didn't do things the right way either but we gave each other a second chance. I have to get Ricky, she's at work with Luther for the day but just think about it."
She took the kids with her since Angel is staying with them. I sat in that park bench by myself longer then i should have.
He mad me feel like my mom did when she left me because dad was always on tour. When dad left me at the boarding school because he didn't have time for me. Abandon, like i wasn't enough for any of them to love me back.
He left me before i even left.
All i need in like is Angel and no one else.
I don't know how to stop being angry and im afraid to let go of the anger. It's the only thing keeping me safe.
