Freddie runs to me smiling with his little brother close behind. "Look it's for the Castle." He opens his little hand to show me the pebbles he picked from the sand. Henry finally reaches us with his hands full of sand instead of pebbles making us laugh.
They sit on the sand decorating their castle's.
After Marly i was so desperate to find someone i could share my life with and that's when i meet Julia. We went on a couple of dates but i rushed in and she got pregnant with 5 year old Freddie. We got married and 2 years later we had Henry.
We couldn't stop fighting long enough to talk to each other. I didn't want our sons to be raised in that environment so i asked for a divorce.
She's not actually a bad woman. She's just not the right woman for me.
My son's are are the love of my life. We have shared custody but they mostly live with me.
"How does it look?" Freddie presents the finished product. Henry still tries to hold his crumbling tower. "It looks good. How about you show your brother how to do it." He looks over and nods rushing to help him.

Marly's POV
Maddox runs around the store and i swear this man could sometimes be a man child. "Mad slow down they aren't going to steal the decorations!"
I laugh looking at him fill our cart with mismatch decorations. He stops and looks at everything he got.
He laughs and kisses my forehead. "Sorry Angel im just exited." He takes stuff out. Some of it is for a Princess birthday. "It's a 5 year old's birthday. I think he won't be so demanding."
Angel's birthday is next week and Maddox wanted to be in charged of it. He nods looking around like he is planning a battlefield strategy. "Angel what do you think?" He holds up 2 different happy birthday's signs.
"Dose it matter? I doubt he will even notice." He groans. "I'll just get both. You are no help at all. Seriously how did you do it before me?" I shrug smiling. "I don't know how i ever manage to get a cake and plastic cups without you."
He flips me off looking at streamers. I groan putting my forehead against the cart. "Why do I have to be here? Your the one that promised him this huge party." He walks to me to cup my face but i take his hands off.
"Don't touch me. We have been to hundreds of stores and it's you fault." He laughs bringing me to a hug. I can't believe im stupid enough to be falling for him again, it's not happening.
I sigh stepping away "Well you do...whatever it is your doing. Im going to get his piñata. It's a Pirate party, not that hard." He throws a bag of balloons at me hitting my head.
I laugh walking to the next aisle. I look up at the piñatas that hang from the ceiling. I was so distracted that i didn't notice where i was going and i bumped into a man. "Im so sorry i didn't se" i look at his face and freeze.
"Princess" he whispers getting closer as i step back until my back hits a display. "No please don't be scared. I won't hurt you."
You already did.
He runs his fingers down my cheek. "You look the same. I can never forget you. I didn't want to." I step to the side to leave but he holds my hand.
I can't help the tears that fall down my face with terror. "J-James please let go." I whisper trying to get my hand out of his grasps.
He frowns "i just want to talk to you. Im not allowed to talk about you." He yanks me closer using his other hand to tightly cup my face.
Monster
"I remember the first time i had you. In front of everyone but for no one to see. Halloween." He whispers lowering his forehead to mine. "We were perfect." He tighten his grip. His hurting me now.
"You had to ruined it by running away from your feelings like you always do. You were just scared. You are always scared to open up, to love. I was only trying to show you!" He slaps me across the face making my head turn.
"Knox you have to let go." I whisper using my free hand to hold my cheek.
He shakes his head. "I already did! I was locked away and was treated like im crazy for loving you for 2 years! I come out and you weren't waiting for me! You were gone!" He barks on my face.
Maddox must have heard the yelling so he runs over. He looks at Knox and i shake my head. Knox sees him and gets angrier. "Fucking Maddox King! That's who you left me for! Huh?" I shake my head.
"He will just fuck someone else when he get bored of you! I would never do that!" He pulls my hair making me look at Mad who looks ready to kill and takes a step forward.
"Stay!" I yell. Behind him there are a few scared workers and shoppers. "He doesn't love you Princess. Maddox only loves Maddox."
Mad runs to pull me from his hands. James let's go and start to punch away at Mad. He is much bigger than him and this time he was expecting him so he is tearing Maddox apart.
He punches him into the ground. Maddox is still trying to fight but goes stiff after Knox punched him and his head hits the ground. "James!!! James let go of him!! Please!"
He stops immediately. He gets up and hugs me with his bloody hands stroking my hair. I look down at Maddox but he isn't moving. His eyes are closed and he looks dead. I sob trying to get to him but Knox doesn't let me.
"Shhh, don't cry Princess. Now his gone and we can be together." He whispers kissing my hair. All i can see is all of the blood that keeps flowing out of Maddox's head.
Two police officers slowly walk to James from his back nodding at me. They hit him over the head and as soon as he falls i run to Maddox.
I don't touch him because if i do, it could be worst if his not actually dead. I clench to his phone that's next to him as if it were him.
"Please don't be dead!" Paramedics come rushing in so i step back. They check him before taking him away. "His a live." On of them whispers but the other shakes her head. "barely." I follow them out to the ambulance.
"Who are you?" They have to let me come. "His girlfriend." He nods and lets me in. I sit next to him look at Maddox.
Why dose he have to always go with his impulse? I asked him to stay put, why didn't he listen? He knew how dangerous Knox is.
Please don't die. Who is going to mess with my life, head and heart like you. There are not many stupid and idiotic people in my life i kind of got used to you goofing around.
You can't leave Angel either or our friends or your parents or...me.
I look down at Maddox's phone. I-i should probably call his parents. My hands are shaking and i don't know his password. Think umm it's Maddox so 1234. No. Hmm he loves himself so maybe his birthday. No.
I look at him hookup to a machine. What would you use? My birthday. No. Fuck, Angel's birthday. No. I don't know what else to put in maybe...
I type it down and his phone unlocks. I look at Maddox smiling through the tears. I can't believe he remembers that day or that i do.
It was supposed to be our anniversary, the day he asked me to be his girlfriend on the yacht.
Ma-
It doesn't ring for long before she answers. "Hey Jack ass what do you need?" I clear my throat. "Hmm mrs. King it's Marly, Marly Holt."
I try to keep my voice steady but how am i supposed to tell her what happened? I keep thinking of how i would feel if this was Angel.
"Oh hey Marly i know who you are what's up?" I shake and the EMT looks at me with pity. "Um you need to go to the regional hospital. M-Maddox is in really bad shape."
She sobs over the phone. "We where at a store and James Knox was there hurting me and Maddox he got him off me." She sniffs.
"I-i will be there." She hangs up as we stop at the hospital.
