I was just so fucking nervours. I couldn't take it anymore. I couldn't sleep. I just turned aimlessly in bed waiting that somehow sleep would hit me like a punch in the face. I laid on my back on the bed and just stared at the ceiling. I started to think about Anna, I tried to make those thoughts go away but it was really useless. Thinking about her just made me feel shitty and worthless. I could feel the tears starting to form so I just instinctively got up and shook them away.
If sleeping was out of the question then I was going for a walk in the garden. We weren't really allowed to leave our rooms at night, but what were they going to do? Put me in a mental institution? I laughted, the fucking joke didnt got old.
I grabbed my phone and walked outside, passing by Dr Ellie's office. The light was on. Is she really working at 3 am? Guess the husband isn't really happy about it. I tried to make myself invisible, grabbed a cold soda from the fridge and sneaked through the window to the pool. The doors were all closed but at least that meant nobody would bother me. I started to think about life and about Anna... Maybe I should call her... But why would I do that? What would I even say? I just wanted to know why. I grabbed the picture of us that I had hidden in my phone case and just stared at it for a minute.

Inside, the guard on duty, Jimmy, a mountain of a men, was watching the security cameras and saw a strange figure by the pool.
"Dr Ellie?" he said on the phone rigging his boss "I think you will want to see this"
He sent her the footage without giving it a second thought. She watched with care and immediately recognized the figure by the pool with those long curly, caramel locks and slender figure. Watching Athena put a smile on her face and she immediately got lost in her own head.
"Dr Ellie? Are you still there?" Jimmy pulled her out of her trace " How do you want me to deal with this situation?"
"You can go home Jimmy, I got this one"
"If you say so..."

I didn't give it much of a thought but I just immediately phoned the number saved on my contacts as "Anna". I rang once... twice... every time I heard that awful noise my pressure raised like crazy.
"Hello, Athena"
A sweet voice rose behind me making me jump. And, as an instinct, I ended the call and seated down my phone with the screen against the pool's wooden deck. She was amused by my reaction or maybe just happy to see me out of my room for once. With that sweet smile... Her hair and beautiful features, enhanced by the sweet moonlight and the light that came from the pool. I got starstruck. Felt the butterflies in my stomach. I guess she noticed it too because she blushed a bit. At least I don't think I'm getting yelled at for being here.
