A Joke Gone Wrong

In this AU Marinette is the guardian, and Alya knows that Marinette is Ladybug. Nino knows that Adrien is Chat Noir. Alya and Nino told each other and are now hard-core LadyNoir shippers. 

It started as a joke. Alya and Nino started it. They went around to the friends and told them to start shipping Adrinette. Marinette was hurt by Alya's actions. After all, she knew she didn't want to date anyone because she's Ladybug. Adrien only sees Marinette as a good friend and was hurt by Nino's actions because he knew he was in love with Ladybug. Adrien also didn't want to date anyone after breaking up with Kagami. 

Marinette was walking down the hall frustrated at her friends. She's asked them nicely to stop because it was stressing her out, but nobody listened. Adrien was avoiding Marinette because he didn't want to listen to people talk about Adrinette. He looked over at Marinette who looked drained and upset. He understood why, seeing as he was going through the same thing, but he had a weird feeling. Nino saw that Adrien was looking at Marinette and started chuckling. 

"Hey, Alya! Adrinette is forming!" Nino chanted to Alya who was a few feet away. Alya cheered and started poking at Marinette. Marinette stepped away from Alya. She was frustrated with her friend. 

"Enough!" Adrien boomed. Everyone in the school looked at him. Marinette had sad eyes. Though she was pushing herself to get over Adrien she still loved him. "Marinette is just a friend! I have never loved her and never will! So if everybody will shut up with this, please! Alya, Nino, I don't know how this started or why it started but stop. I will never love Marinette that way!" He yelled to the whole school. Everyone gasped and looked at Marinette. She held back her tears. Marinette nodded at Adrien before walking to class. Adrien was confused as to why she walked away.

"Dude, seriously? There's a way to say you like somebody just as a friend and being plain awful," Nino said. He grabbed Alya's hand and walked away. The whole school was hurt by Adrien. He realized what he just said was awful. He just said that he didn't care about Marinette. That was the exact opposite. 

Marinette skipped past the classroom door and headed to the bathroom. She quickly transformed into Ladybug and skipped away. She needed to get out of here and clear her head. Marinette was not only hurt by Adrien's words but how her friends made him upset. Hearing that she'll never be loved by Adrien made her want to disappear. Marinette was overwhelmed with emotions and she sat on the rooftop and cried. An anti-akuma charm dangled around her neck. It was her normal flower pattern. 

Adrien saw Ladybug swinging away from the school. He was curious as to why she was here and thought maybe there was an akumatized villain. He transformed to find Ladybug and saw her crying. He wanted to know why his Lady was crying. 

"Little bug on a roof all alone without her kitty," Ladybug sang out. Ladybug's feelings for Chat Noir have grown. She has been wanting to tell him but didn't want to put him in danger. Chat Noir sat next to Ladybug. "Hey, Kitty," she said. Chat Noir looked at Ladybug and frowned. 

"M'lady, are you crying?" Chat asked her. Ladybug wiped her tears. She nodded at Chat Noir but never looked him in the eye. She was too sad to look at him. Chat Noir was upset about what he said to Marinette. "I guess we're both down tonight, little bug," he said. 

"What happened, kitty?" Ladybug asked Chat Noir. Chat Noir sighed. He didn't want to admit that he was wrong. He just wanted to be with his lady. Like Ladybug, he didn't want to talk about it. "You can say nothing if you prefer. I'm here for you when you need me," she said. Chat Noir smiled at Ladybug. They both sat there on the roof for a few before Chat Noir swung away to go back to school. 

Chat transformed to Adrien and walked to class. He felt everyone staring at him in anger. He glanced around the room looking for Marinette but didn't see her. He glanced out the window and saw Ladybug still on the roof. She looked worse than before he left. Adrien sat down next to Nino. Nino turned away slightly, upset at his best friend. Ladybug hopped off the building and went home, not wanting to see Adrien. She transformed into Marinette and laid on her mattress. Tikki floated next to her and tried comforting her.
