After Hawk(Shadow)Moth's Defeat

In this AU, Hawkmoth's defeat, Adrien finds out his father was the villain the whole time, as is extremely upset. So Adrien leaves Paris and gives Ladybug back his miraculous revealing of his Identity. He lives with his Aunt in London for a year and changes. He dyed his hair black and dresses in an alternative style. After a year his Aunt forces him to go back to Paris, to face his fears. 

After Hawkmoth's defeat, Marinette starts to feel useless, and she's falling for Chat Noir every day. After Adrien left and returned his miraculous to Ladybug, who is the guardian, Marinette is extremely depressed. Not to mention after Adrien leaving Lila was able to twist everyone against her. Marinette never revealed her Identity so Chat/Adrien doesn't know she's Ladybug. Nobody knows the Adrien's Chat, besides Marinette. Marinette doesn't talk to anyone very much and when a villain comes she's all alone. There sometimes are villains but no big threats in the past year. It is now their last year (12th grade) and Adrien is back. He's not the happiest but he's excited to see his friends, and especially Marinette. Who cut him off after he left. 

Let's get into it. This may be very short but oh well.

"He's coming back today!" Nino exclaims to the whole class. He waves his phone around in the air excitedly to see his best friend again. Everyone rejoiced to see Adrien again. All besides Marinette. Marinette sat in the back of the class with Earbuds in. She didn't want to see him again. Slowly a guy with black hair and green eyes entered the classroom right away. They all knew it was Adrien.

"Adrien!" A lot of the class cried running to hug him. Everyone missed him. Marinette stayed in the back row, laying her head down, trying not to cry. Marinette didn't wear her pigtails anymore, she also grew out her bangs. She didn't wear her usual pink anymore, just plain grey. Adrien looked over the crowd greeting him and saw Marinette. He frowned at his old friend, wondering why she didn't care.

"Ugh, don't tell me you still care about her, Adrien," Alya chants, noticing Adrien starring. Adrien focused on the brown-haired girl and tilted his head in confusion. "She's a super liar, and if it wasn't for Lila we would all be trusting her," She added. Marinette heard Alya's tone and was deeply saddened by someone she called her best friend. Marinette stood up and brush past the group quietly.

"Whatever, Alya," Adrien said. He didn't mean to be cold, but he dispised Lila because she treated Marinette. Lila loathed her victory constantly and had everyone wrapped around her finger. Marinette had walked out of school and went home. Seeing Adrien and knowing Lila would change him, broke her. Not that he hadn't changed much himself. Adrien was concerned that Marinette never returned and wanted to check up on her, but knew nobody would let him, because of Lila. 

The day passed, and everyone kept hugging Adrien and asking him questions. They all filled him in on everything that changed. Including what happened to Marinette. Adrien never heard about Ladybug and he was concerned. He had missed her and needed to hear about her. "What about Ladybug and Chat Noir?" He asked. Alya stood forward and sat next to him to fill him in. 

"Ladybug is completely different now. All we know is the Chat Noir returned his Miraculous and would be back when he was ready after his break, as what Ladybug told the news. There have been some small supervillains and Ladybug fights alone now. She refuses to have anyone help her and almost has died several times. One time, a news reporter caught her crying at night to the statue of Ladybug and Chat Noir. Everyone in pairs can tell Ladybug is miserable without him and we all miss Chat Noir," Alya said. Adrien felt his heart slump to the bottom of his chest. He tried to brush it off quickly so the group didn't notice. Everyone exchanged quick notes of pity for Ladybug and their aching for Chat Noir. 

Adrien passed through the rest of the school day, and when the day was over he snuck away from the group. He quickly sprinted to Marinette's house and walked inside the bakery. Tom and Sabine noticed it was Adrien and dropped everything and greeted him.
