Marinette Quits

"Hey Chaton," Ladybug shutters out, hopping next to him. Chat Noir glares at ladybug angrily. "What was that sudden call for?" She asked. Chat Noir groaned and faced her. He grabbed her hand and starting sobbing. Ladybug looked concerned and held his hand tighter.

"Why don't you trust me?" He asked her. He looked her straight in the eye. Ladybug felt herself swallow hard but then look at him.

"How could you ever say I don't trust you? I trust you more than anyone, Chaton," She said trying to hug Chat Noir. He stepped back slightly still holding her hand. 

"You told Rena Rouge you're identity but not me?" Chat asked. He looked at his miraculous, then back at Ladybug.

"I'm sorry, Chaton," Ladybug started but got cut off by Chat Noir.

"Save it!" He called to her. Ladybug jumped afraid of him. She tugged her hand back, petrified by Chat Noir. 

"I had to tell Rena, okay? There are many reasons why. I'm sorry," She shuttered out. Chat Noir noticed that he scared her, and glanced back at his miraculous. 

"Find a Black Cat you can trust," He said tugging at his miraculous. Ladybug quickly slapped him across the face. He stopped taking off the miraculous and looked at her.

"Don't you dare leave me, again, Chat Noir!" She said. Chat looked at her, upset and confused. "I have told you before, Chat! I do trust you. You know damn well, It is way too risky for us to know our Identities. I'm sorry I told Rena but I needed to tell someone everything I know in case something happens to me! All you do is risk yourself and I'm tired of seeing you leave me!" Ladybug panted out. She grabbed her earrings and ripped them out of her ears and put them in Chat Noir's hand. "I quit this time!" Ladybug transformed into Marinette. Chat's eyes widened in shock. His lady was in front of him the whole time. Marinette stormed off the building and walked away. Her eyes streamed with tears. Chat Noir wanted to follow her but knew it was too risky. 

Chat looked at the ladybug miraculous and started crying. He felt Ladybug's pain, and he was wanting to leave because he felt betrayed. Now he understood. It was just for their protection, or was it something more? He clutched the miraculous tighter in his hands, before de-transforming into Adrien. Following a similar path as Marinette, he walked home. The two teens laid on their mattresses, feeling their hearts crumble. Adrien had an advantage to seeing Marinette at school, but didn't know what to say. The day passed Adrien kept starring at Marinette, upset. Marinette didn't look herself. Her eyes were dark and she didn't even manage to put her hair into the pigtails. Adrien knew why and felt guilt burn in the miraculous in his pocket. As the class was walking out of the class Adrien heard Marinette yelling.

"Enough Alya!" Marinette yelled. The class looked at each other knowing Marinette never yelled. Alya looked at Marinette in pity. "It's done for, just leave it alone!" Marinette whispered walking off. She was aware everyone was starring at her. Adrien ran to follow her but was stopped by Alya.

"Leave her be, Agreste. She needs time alone," Alya said glaring at him. Nino approached the  group. "I'm serious," Alya warned him. Adrien wasn't threatened by Alya, but respected Marinette enough to leave her be. He also loved her, but he was her partner first. Adrien stood there and thumbed his hands in his pockets.

"Aren't you going to ask what happened?" Alya said sarcastically. Adrien rolled his eyes and glared at Alya. She crossed her arms and stood off to him.

"I'll know more than you'll ever know, Rena," Adrien said whispering the Rena part. Alya's jaw dropped and Nino froze. "You too, Carapace," Adrien whispered to Nino. Nino and Alya looked at eachother and back at Adrien.

"How did you?" Alya hinted dragging Adrien and Nino behind the school. "Nino, did you tell him?" Alya scolded.  Nino shook his head no faster than Alya could speak. Adrien smirked. Nino and Alya glared at him angrily.
