The ice sheet started to break. "OH HOLY CARP!" said Hope looking at the body of water where they might fall. Upon seeing the unconscious Earl River Wolfert, she screamed, "DOUBLE CARP!" then looked at Cray hoping she has a good plan for all three of them to survive. "Um um um... You don't think spit will help, do you?" Cray asks Hope. "Water. I need water." River moans. The ice sheet's edges began to break and the cracks reaches the center. "Bad. This is really, really bad." Cray has never been good when it comes to judgement calls, and she don't think she can rely on Hope for any plan either.
"So if there's one thing that can give this guy strength or power, it would be water. And I don't think plunging to that sea will do any good. He will be saved, but not Hope and I." Cray thought to herself. "Hope's water gun of all awesomeness!" Hope said proudly standing and raising her water gun making her look like the Statue of Liberty. "Yeah, Hope's water gun is the only source of water we have at the moment." The ice cracked under Cray's feet. "Hope! Use your water gun on River's chest! See if the water can heal his wound." Cray ordered the little girl. Hope squirts water on River's chest emptying her water gun. The water slowly flows to the wound making it hiss. The wound steams and heals partly. It seemed to have made River feel better that he opened his eyes. "Good! You're finally awake!" Cray said. "Now what's going on again?" River asked, still sounding weak and shaking his head lightly. The ice cracked under his feet. "Oh snap!" He touched the ice sheet, closed his eyes, and willed his energy to flow through the whole ice. They stopped a couple of feet off the sea. "Now, that's what's going on," he said. He looks at the ice sheet. "Wow. This is more pieced than whole." He stood weakly and said, "Alright then, no one touch me. I'm going to fix this thing and land us somewhere." His eyes glow blue like the color of the ocean.
Hope and Cray moved a little far from River at the sight of his eyes. River willed his energy again to flow through the ice. The cracks on the ice slowly vanish. He then moved made the ice sheet move and slowly land on a nearby forest. "YAY!" Cray jumps off the ice, happy to be finally on land. Hope followed suit. River's eyes reverted to their normal teal color. He looked at his surrounding after getting off the ice sheet. "I guess we need to set up camp for now. It's getting dark," he said and he morphs the shattered ice into three tents. He sat under a tree, getting a little rest to regain even a bit of energy.
Cray sat beside him and said, "So, you can control ice." River looked at her and said, "Water, actually. Although I can turn water into ice." "Hmm..'kay." Cray said. "Hope can control water gun! But now, just gun, no water." Hope said. "Well, Hope can also use a keyboard to play music which can heal." River said. Hope just stared at River smiling innocently. "Oh, well. I guess that's just how it is." River said. "Yeah, that's just how it is." Cray thought to herself. "So, uhm Cray, can you gather some food for us? Preferably fruit for me?" River asked. "Hmm... Alright." Cray said as she pull out a pencil and a sketch pad from her bag. "What kind of fruit did you want?" she asked. "Uhm... Are you just gonna draw them all on that notebook and wish for them to appear?" River asked sarcastically. "Nope! I'm not gonna wish for it. I'll make them all appear. I'll draw them on this notebook, and pull them out!" Cray explained proudly. River's jaw dropped, "So that's her power," he thought to himself.
"So, your highness. What shall I draw for you?" she asked. "Um... Okay. So... an apple and er... maybe a baguette." River said with utmost hesitation. "A baguette, eh? Getting fancy aren't we?" Cray said as she started sketching. "You're from a rich family aren't you?" Cray asked. "Yes, I am." River answered, "I am, as I said, an earl, heir to the clan and soon to be declared leader of all three clans." putting stress on his words. "I'm going to see if I can find a river and scout around. I'll be back soon." he left them.
