"What's wrong, Linda?"
"Master Cray? How are you doing this?"
"Why are you sad? Why are you crying?"
"I can't take it anymore. Please help me."
"How would you want me to help you?"
Cray woke up on the cockpit of an old wooden boat. She left her home in Granzlos after her half-sister, Keita, tried to kill her. She blamed Cray's mother for their father's death. Their parents were accused of rebellion against their country and were murdered. Nevertheless, no one has yet to prove their innocence neither their guilt. She slept under the shade of the sail. Without it, her skin would have been sunburned. She got up, yawned and looked around. The boat is in the middle of the sea. "Where am I exactly?" She wondered. She checked her bag for anything to eat. She found three packs of crackers with four pieces in each pack, a can of soda and a sandwich. She took the sandwich, unwrapped it and started walking around the boat while eating.
The boat is probably sixteen to eighteen meters wide and is made of wood. Its hull and frames are made of pinewood. It looks like it needs a little bit of repainting and maintenance. It had already faded to gray and smoke-smudged black. "For sure there's a cabin down below," she thought. She walked down the stairs and, sure enough, there is a small cabin. "So you're awake, young lady," the captain said. "Have you had a good sleep?" "Yes, sir. Thank you so much." Cray answered. "So where are we going?" she asked. The captain lit a cigar and said, "To a port east of Medea. We will be there in about three hours. Still have enough food in your pack?" Cray raised her sandwich and said, "YEP! Sure do!" The captain laughed. "HAHA! You sure are a bubbly girl! Feel free to look around so you won't get bored." Cray made a hand salute. "Aye, aye! Captain!" and she sprinted back to the deck.
"East of Medea. It sure is far from Granzlos. I'll be so far away from home. From Keita. Far from my family. Will I ever see her again? It will be a new beginning for me... away from my country. I must be ready for this. I have to. For my own sake."
