The electronic board show the names of the next fighters who happen to be the last two. Miggy Kharzaan versus River Wolfert.

The computer mainframe started selecting the battlefield environment as the fighters walked down from the viewing room going to the battle chamber. "I hope Miggy will be okay." Emerald said seemingly a bit more concerned with Miggy than with River. "Maybe he'll bleed a bit!" LeGrande said with a smirk. "Legg!" Emerald snapped. Cray poked LeGrande. "LeGrande... you're really something, aren't you?" Myoku said. "Just a bit! He needs to toughen up!" "Yeah right." Alveo said sounding uninterested.

The computer mainframe changed the battle chamber. It selected was a very familiar place to River, too familiar, he shuddered. "Lascaux" he thought. Alveo straightened up on his couch looking concerned at the battlefield. It seems to him that this environment will give much of a disadvantage to Miggy than River. When the mainframe completed the environment transformation, Raiza Sandabado stood and said, "Let the match...begin!" River glared at Miggy and said, "Lets go, Miggy." Miggy understood. His shadows twisted up and materialized as a scythe in his right hand. They both walked into the seascape of the computer-made Lascaux. River pulled out his swords, both of which glowed blue. "This should be interesting." Seoul said grinning. "Indeed." Emerald agreed.

And the battle began.

Miggy charged at River without even thinking. "Don't be too quick to attack." River thought to himself. "Ice Element: Dancing Icicles!" His swords were suddenly coated with ice. He shot ice arrows as he lunged at Miggy. Miggy's eyes see things faster than most people. He quickly skidded to the side to avoid the arrows. River pointed Shino to the side then shot more icicles at Miggy who stealthily avoided them all. The icicles all drop to the ground. Miggy continued to run around River circling him. River's eyes glowed a light shade of blue. He willed all the ice arrows to float. He raised Shino toward all the floating icicles and willed them to fuse creating a blade made of pure ice. He smiled. "This blade will follow you wherever you go. Even if you side step or dodge, it will follow you." River said. "Really?" Miggy said. He sprinted towards the palm trees and hid behind one of them. The blade indeed followed him even where he was hiding. He jumped away from the palm tree just before it got slashed by the blade. He ran to another tree to hide, the blade following him. Just before the blade slashed the tree where he hid, an energy ball blasted the blade and it shattered. River looked at the source of the energy ball. She saw Myoku. "Thanks, Myoku!" Miggy said to himself. "River! Do you want history to repeat itself?" The hologram Myoku bellowed. River looked at it. "A hologram..." he said to himself. "What does she mean?" he jumped in the ocean and disappeared. Myoku's hologram vanishes. Seoul and Emerald looked at Myoku in the viewing room. "Don't. Look. At. Me. like that. I'm not the game maker." Myoku said to them. "Your hologram again? Why is that?" Seoul asked her. She looked at Vladimir Van Buren who is already looking at her, smiling. Raiza saw Vladimir smiling and furrowed his brows. "Lord Van Buren? Is something the matter?" Raiza asked. "Nothing." Vladimir replied. "I'm just enjoying the fight. It's just beginning yet it seems... very interesting." he looked back at the chamber. "Hm? History repeating itself, huh?" Miggy wondered. He looked at the ocean where River hid. "Ah! That's not good!" Miggy ran a distance away, closer to the trees. "You should watch yourself, Miggy." River suddenly appeared from the tree behind Miggy. "Things are far more dangerous than they seem." River said as he stabbed Miggy who jumped to avoid him but the blade still grazed a good half-inch into the side of his left leg. He winced. He saw blood flowed from his wound. He gripped onto a branch, then flipped over on top of it. "I can't let this hold me back, can I?" His shadows curled around his wound. "There! It should stop the bleeding for a while!" He showed a thumbs up to Alveo in the viewing room. Alveo just smiled back, still a bit worried. River stared at Miggy on the tree thinking of his next move. "That's impressive." he thought. "I need to find a way to limit his shadow."
