Vinnie's POV
The ride back to Sway was a silent one, but far from uncomfortable, it was more like peace had settled between us, and that was always a good first step to going back to normal. Finally, Olivia pulled up to the driveway (I'm very thankful to say that the drive there wasn't as frantic and life-threatening as the one to Faith's house)
We both stepped out of the car without a saying a single word before I decided it would be best to address the elephant in the room.
"Liv- I- I'm really sorry that I didn't tell you abou-
Suddenly, she threw her arms around my neck and pulled me in for a hug that somehow said everything we were too scared to say.
"I'm sorry for not noticing what was going on earlier, Vin, there was no need for you to go through all of that just because she threatened me," she mumbled into my shoulder. I wrapped my arms around her waist and squeezed the girl like I wasn't able to let go, and to a certain extent, I couldn't, I didn't want to.
"You know I would do anything to keep you safe, Liv,"
For the first time in a while since I had gotten stuck in that mess with Faith, I felt safe and happy. Olivia's presence alone had this calming effect on me that made me truly believe in the end everything was going to be okay.
And that was a feeling I wanted to last forever.
Her natural scent of vanilla and cinnamon and filled my nose, making me sigh in contentment. Holding her felt like home, comfort and everything else I wouldn't be able to describe to someone who wasn't apart of that moment. I glanced down to see her already looking up at me and I swear I saw the entire universe in those eyes.
I was in love with this girl.
Yes, call me a dumbass for only acknowledging it now but trust me, I felt a whole lot dumber. Everything about her was perfect to me, and even the stuff she didn't like about herself were the things I loved even more.
"We need to go to your house so you can get some more of your stuff,"
"Sorry, what?"
"Vin, I'm not having you put at risk by staying there when Faith knows where you live, it's not safe,"
"But what about you?"
"I can handle myself, but I wouldn't be able to if anything happened to you," she took my hand and squeezed it making my heart flutter. "Right now, you're my number one priority, and I have to make sure you're safe,"
"Well- you'll have to meet the boys, they're probably home right now," to be honest, I was kinda nervous, all that Jordan and Baby J knew about Olivia was that I was crazy about her and made some dumb decisions that harmed our friendship. There hadn't been anytime to let them know what had happened in the past week so they were already pretty out of the loop. I cringed just at the thought of then taunting me in front of her.
"That's sounds great, Vin but we should probably go now since it's getting pretty late,"
"Yeah, you're right, let's go,"
Olivia's POV
When we got to Vinnie's house, he turned to me with a bashful smile.
"Jordan and Baby J can be a bit of a handful sometimes, but they mean well really- shit, Hubert and Troy might be there too-
"Vinnie calm down! Everything's gonna be fine, I'm sure they're really cool," I laughed. We walked to the front door and rang the bell then waited for someone to answer. The first thing I noticed when the door opened was a wild head of blonde, curly hair and piercing blue eyes.
"Jordan!" Vinnie yelled before tackling him in a hug.
"VINNIE!" a chorus of male voices rang through the air before a stamped of them took
him down in an even bigger hug. I watched him struggle underneath the scrum of boys with a laugh before they all got up and looked at me.The feeling? Awkward.
The blonde boy who opened the door looked me up and down then looked at Vinnie, then back at me with widened eyes.
"Holy shit, aren't you-
"Hey, I'm Olivia, nice to meet you," I smiled politely and held my hand out for him to shake. Immediately, all the boys stood up and swarmed me.
"You don't wanna touch Jordan, he has chlamydia,"
"Wha- no I don't!"
"I'm Hubert, it's lovely to meet you, Olivia," a very pretty boy who looked like a mix of Rodrick from diary of a wimpy kid and a little bit of Vinnie smiled down at me and brought my hand up to his lips to kiss it- I'd be lying if I said he wasn't crazy attractive.
"Nice to meet you Hubert," I smiled in amusement at how flirty he was.
"Hey beautiful, I'm Baby J," another boy who kinda looked like the young Leonardo Dicaprio winked at me.
"What's your real name?"
"I'm taking that information down to my grave,"
"And I'm Troy-
"Zarba? I've heard about you, all my friends call you the original tiktok pretty boy," my face lit up as he puffed his chest in triumph at me recognizing him. The title he had been given was quite a fair one. With long brown curls, hazel eyes, a strong jawline and plump lips, he was definitely very good looking.
"Well I um- I'm alright I guess," his laugh was nervous and so was his body language. Shuffling feet, fiddling fingers and constantly rubbing his neck, it was adorable though. "Vinnie, we didn't know you were bringing company,"
"We're not stopping for long, I just need to pack a few of my things,"
"Why? You've just come back," Jordan asked in curiosity.
"I know, it's probably safer if I stay at Sway for a while,"
"Lemme guess, something to do with Faith?"
"Wait, you knew about her?" I stepped forward and looked around at all the boys.
"Knew what about her? She just gives off really bad energy, none of us even liked her, and we knew Vinnie couldn't either, he was always talking about another girl, any moron could see that he was basically in love with her,"
"Really? What's her na-
"Okay we need to go pack my stuff up now," Vinnie nervously laughed before pulling me into the house.
"What was that all about?" I asked in confusion.
"Uh, it was nothing, they were just being their usual weird ass selves,"
"You're acting pretty weird too, Vincent," my eyebrow raised at him suspiciously. "What's up?"
"Did I tell you that Thomas asked me to join the hype house?"
"WHAT?"
