Startled, Lucina accidentally let go of the railings, and let out a loud scream

But before she could fully fall, a hand grabbed her hand, tightly.

"Gotcha"

Lucina turn around to see a blue eyed boy, with a look of concern on his face. It was none other than, Malu, the strange boy she bumped into this day.

Even with the raging water from the rain, Malu's eyes were bright and clear, like it was glowing in the dark. Every lightning that hit the sky only complemented his sky blue eyes.

Lucina could see his mouth moving ever so quickly, but she couldn't hear a thing. She was only focusing on his facial features that were only elevated by the weather. She didn't notice how Malu had already lifted her up the the railing onto the safe part of the bridge.

Malu, then, smiled, noticing how Lucina was just staring at him

"You okay?" He asked humorously

As if she was removed from a magic induced trance, Lucina shook her head and  looked at Malu, eyes widened, then, pushed Malu away  from her.

"What are you doing" Lucina asked, her tone accusing.

"Saving you?" Malu replied, quite confused as to why Lucina is saying it like he committed adultery.

"Well, you're done with that job. Thank you, you may leave now" She didn't mean for it to come out so rudely, it just did.

"I don't know..."

"I'm fine, you did your daily heroic deed. You can live peacefully now." Lucina stubbornly said, getting irritated by Malu's presence.

"Honestly, something about you almost jumping off a bridge to the abyss, doesn't sit well with me" He mockingly replied

Lucina scoffed "What are you? My shrink?" Malu laughed at that.

"I mean, I could be" He shrugged.

How can he joke at this time

"Look" Lucina sighed "I'm fine, okay. I promise. Just forget about it"

"Lucina,-"

How did he know her name?

"-as much as I would like to get out of this horrid weather. I want to see you safe and sound" This just irritated Lucina, more.

"Why the fuck do you care?" She shouted, startling Malu, he thunder clashing with the unexpected use of foul words.

Lucina's emotions had been bottled up for so long and had been pierced through by a sharp pin, in the form of Malu, releasing multiple emotions at once. "I'm just a stranger. No one came to my rescue before, why did the world think that they should give me someone, now!"

Malu didn't know what to say.

"For years, I've had the worst luck, the worst life. There isn't even a reason for me to live anymore. I finally had the courage to do it and then, you, you! had to show up and ruin it" She hissed. Malu just looked at her wide-eyed. Emotions were filling up Lucina's mind, fogging it, loosing her sense of secrecy.

"Can't you just..leave me be, I need to do this. I want to be free, I want to be happy" she continued to rant, her voice cracking in the end.

In a calm manner, Malu replied. "You don't need to do this to be happy-"

"No! you don't know a single thing of what I have been through. Nothing, and I mean nothing, has made me happy in this lifetime. You can't just barge in my life, and tell me what to do!" anger was surging in Lucina's body.

Malu was also getting irritated by her. It was getting hard to talk to her with emotions controlling her every word.

"I'm not telling you what to do, I'm just saying there's more ways in finding happiness, than ending it."

"No"

"what do you mean, no?"

She's was getting very stubborn

"I know where this is going" Lucina ran her hands to her hair "Stop it"

"I haven't even said anything" Malu rolled his eyes.

"I know what you're gonna say, just say it"

There was a pause.

"I can prove you wrong" Malu finally said it

"No"

"Please" He persisted

"No, Malu"

"I can show you a whole new world!" Lucina deadpanned at Malu

"Sorry, not the right time" he shyly added.

Again, there was a pause

"It's still a no"

Malu was very irritated "Give me a chance to prove you wrong!" he exclaimed

"I-I don't know..." Lucina was getting restless with this argument.

"Please.." he begged

Closing her eyes, reluctantly she whispered...

"Don't make me regret"
