Dead to begin with

Chapter 6

It was already Monday morning, Lucina had just arrived in school. Everything was normal when she arrived at her locker, until a certain someone gave a very subtle entrance

"Lucina!" He shouted from the end of the hall.

Lucina cursed inwardly, turning towards the person causing a scene.

As Malu got closer to her, avoiding all the curious glances, he hugged her. Surprised, Lucina pushed him away, looking at him like he was crazy.

"sorry" Malu scratched the back of his head. Which Lucina answered with a nod.

As Lucina opened her locker taking what was needed for her class, before walking, not sparing a glance to Malu. 

Malu cheerily walked beside her, not caring about her cold actions. Lucina was getting irritated by his jolly aura at the time like this.

"Why are you following me?" 

"I'm not, my first class is just beside yours." Malu shrugged.

Lucina was getting stalker vibes from Malu, but brushed it off.

"Tada" Malu gave Lucina jazz-hands as he pointed to his classroom beside hers.

"I see.." Lucina replied, before entering the room.

But before the classroom door closed, she heard Malu call..

"I'll see you in Lunch" 

Lucina continued to her seat on the back, ignoring the stares she was getting from her classmates.

.....

And it was already lunch, and Lucina was determined to not have an encounter with Malu. She sat down on the bench outside the school building, which was her normal space.

He shouldn't be able to find me-

"Hey!" Malu greeted from behind

Lucina jumped from her seat, out of fear.

"How?" she asked

"How what?" He asked dumbfounded

"How did you find me?" 

"What do you mean?" Malu asked "This is your normal lunch spot, isn't it?" He continued, surprising Lucina even more.

How much does this boy really know about her.

She questioned herself, she needed to be careful with this one...

"So, how has your day been?" Malu asked, oblivious to her suspicions.

"It was normal" Lucina answered, sitting back down on her bench, him mirroring her gesture.

"Mhm" Malu hummed, looking at her.

'What?" Lucina was getting creeped out with his constant staring.

"Nothing" He grinned.

She had beautiful eyes.

Malu took in his surroundings, as Lucina ate her lunch, which was a small peanut butter and jam sandwich. It was all she could afford for the day.

"Are you not going to eat?" 

"Nope"

"Why?"

"Why not" Malu smirked

"Don't be difficult" Lucina glared at him, and Malu just laughed.

"I just don't want to" He answered "Hey, wanna play 21 questions?"

"No" She deadpanned

"hm, tough audience"

They continued to stay silent, Malu stealing glances at her ever so often. 

Minutes passed and the bell rang signaling the end of the end of lunch. Lucina packed her stuff, while Malu waited patiently for her to finish.

"I'm guessing your class is next to mine, again?" Lucina asked, raising her eyebrows.

"Nope" Malu answered, popping the 'p' "I'm in your next class" He said a-matter-of-factly.

Lucina, stopped for a second. She had never noticed him in Biology before. 

"C'mon, we're gonna be late." He said, grabbing her arm and gently pulling her to the direction of the room.

Partners

Lucina, despised that word. Lucina was forced to be independent at fifteen, hence how she always worked solo, in every project she had. Today, however, was not her day.

"Let's do this at your apartment" Malu offered "I'll be able to tend your wound and do your nightly check-up" He explained

Lucina didn't bother to put up a fight, so she just agreed with him

"Great!" Malu exclaimed "We'll walk together later" he finished as the bell rang, ending the period.

Wanting to get out of his presence, Lucina bolted to the door, not before hearing him say 

"See you later!"
