"Close the door" Lucina whispered.
After the deal Malu had proposed. He offered to take her back to her apartment and clean up her wounds.
Malu looked around cautiously, as if there was something that would jump him in the 1 room apartment. It then later occurred to him that there were bloody stains on the floor beside the bed.
Scared, Malu asked. "Is that..?"
"Yeah" Lucina was a little bit embarrassed by that fact.
Silence surrounded the room.
And without a warning, Malu suddenly walked in front of Lucina, and wrapped his arms around her.
"I'm sorry" he said, surprising Lucina.
"What?" Lucina was dumbfounded
"I'm sorry, I let this happen to you." Malu felt so dejected. Lucina was getting more confuse every second.
"It's really not your fault" Lucina shrugged.
Feeling the mood getting sadder and sadder. Lucina tried to lighten up the mood.
"So...are you gonna be my nurse today?" Catching Malu's attention from sadness.
"Oh yea, lucky for you. My father's a nurse, and I am an excellent student and observer" He said with a wink.
"Where's your first aid kit?" Malu asked. Lucina pointed to the bathroom, and went to moved to go get it, but Malu stopped her by grabbing her arm, surprising her.
"No, let me get it. You stay here and I'll get it." He firmly looked at her in the eyes, and went of to the small bathroom, leaving no space for Lucina to argue.
"Found it!" Lucina heard, before an oddly grinning Malu, came back from the bathroom. Then, without a second to spare, he said...
"Strip"
"What?!" Lucina squeaked, her face reddening. "I think that quite forward for t-this newly found acquaintanceship" She continued, trying to reduce the embarrassment of the situation.
"Well, how am I going to help you heal, when your sweats are covering your wounds?" He asked, not quite aware how his statement affected Lucina. "I'm not a pervert, if that's what you are scared about" he said, an innocent look plastered on his face, as he slightly tilted his head.
"Fine, turn around while I...strip" Malu nodded, before turning around, taking in as much detail in Lucina's apartment as he can.
Gathering up her courage, Lucina untied the ribbon on her sweats before slowly pushing it down, winching on every wound and scar she saw.
Breathing in, Lucina muttered "Okay, you can turn around"
Malu, expected that Lucina would have wounds around her legs, since her sweats were bloodied when he caught her by the bridge, but he did not expect the severity of her situation.
Her knee to her leg, were clean aside from the cut on her left leg which came from the time, her leg slipped on the ledge of the bridge. While the knee upwards were full of scars and the new cuts she made.
Malu walked closer and kneeled in front of her, inspecting every scar and wound she had. Only a few seconds later, stopped when he saw Lucina looking up at the ceiling, embarrassed as someone can see her at her weakest.
"sorry.." Malu muttered, and let out an awkward cough
Lucina stayed quiet, watching Malu as he maneuvered himself from wound to wound, scar to scar. She couldn't resist looking at him as he had the tip of his tongue out, a serious and determined look on his face, she couldn't help but think that he looked somewhat...
adorable
A few minutes later, Malu stood up, picked up the first aid kit, before looking at Lucina.
"Starting Monday, you'll be having nightly visits from me" he said
"Wait, why?" Lucina asked, thinking this was very odd.
"I need to check on your wounds, and hope you will not be adding anymore. I told you that I would prove you wrong, and show you happiness, so I want all negative aura's and activities to be away from you." Malu firmly said
"But I need my privacy" Lucina argued.
"I'm not taking away your privacy, it's just quick visits to check up on you" he said a matter-of-factly.
Lucina scoffed, but brushed the conversation off.
It was silent for a few second before Malu, looked at the wall clock.
"I should get going..." Catching Lucina's attention, in which she replied with a nod. Then, Malu brought back the first aid kit to the bathroom before making his way to the door.
As he opened the door, he looked back to Lucina and bid her farewell, and which she, again, replied with a nod.
Before the door closed, Lucina was able to whisper
"Stay safe"
It was soft, but Malu heard it, barely, but still he heard it. And without any witnesses, he smiled, a light blush covering his cheeks.
