A/N: smut
Sam was staring at Laecie like she had three heads.
"You think I know?"
He said, raising his eyebrow in confusion. Laecie made a pleading face.
"Sam, please, just tell me what you know."Sam shook his head, shrugging.
"Lace, we only just met Bucky. I don't know shit about the guy."Laecie put her hand over her face, half embarrassed half annoyed.
"This isn't a good thing you know."
Sam said, looking up at her with big brown eyes.
"You shouldn't be struggling a few weeks after you met."Laecie pulled a puzzled face, she knew that made sense, but was she not just overreacting?
"I'll talk to him later. Maybe I'm just overthinking things."
She said. Sam gave her a knowing look, smirking at her.
"Alright, I won't say I told you so."Laecie shoved his shoulder gently, silently telling him off. He laughed.
James walked in to the bar shortly after. It was still light outside and the sunset caught his profile beautifully, illuminating his cheeks in a gorgeous orange colour. Laecie tried to suppress her dreamy smile.
"What's the plans later?"
He asked, as if nothing strange had happened at all in the last 20 minutes. Laecie looked at Sam, trying not to acknowledge James, knowing he'd think he had 'won'."We're going to my place. My dads having a party out back but he's giving us the living room. I got some guests coming that you guys haven't met yet too, so, be on best behaviour."
Sam said, looking between them both, as if asking them not to make a scene later. Laecie smiled half heartedly, nodding her head."Why would we?"

Bucky and Laecie had quickly flew home in the car to change. Laecie had replaced her dress with a different black one, a slip dress, which she wore a leather jacket over and her converse. She curled her hair into 40s style waves and topped up her lipstick. They left now, again, but on Bucky's bike, her father not going to the after party as he had work early the next morning.
Their journey to Sam's only consisted of Laecie shouting directions. She hadn't laid her head on him like she usually did, she didn't want to let him think all was forgotten. Sam was right, she shouldn't have issues with Bucky this early.
Bucky didn't take much notice of the absence of her cheek on his upper back, he was a bit tipsy, which, he knew was probably wrong but he had to get to Sam's somehow.
Once they'd pulled up at the larger house, Bucky chuckled at the salmon pink colour of the outside walls. Of course Sam would live in a pink house.
Wordlessly, they walked in. Laecie held a bottle of pear vodka, as a gift to Sam's father's bar. Sam answered the door, clearly drunk, with Natasha holding one shoulder and pressed against his side.
Laecie frowned, walking in and gripping Natasha's wrist.
"Whatttt-"
Natasha groaned as Laecie dragged her into the first left, the computer room, where a very modern computer sat alongside a load of files and blueprints."What are you doing?"
Laecie questioned, stifling a laugh at her drunk friend.
"You're late to the party."
Natasha remarked. Laecie took hold of the Natasha's shoulders.
"What are you doing!?"
She asked again.
"Nothing!"
Natasha replied."You're all over Sam."
"So?"
"So, you shouldn't lead him on! You know he likes you."
