Chapter 7: First quest

(Y/N)'S POV

New day, new adventure.

That's what Hajime always used to say before we become adventurers, with a bright smile alway showing on his face as he said those words

And now, he said those same words to me, Natasha and Toots, the adorable little pig, who hasn't left my side

Natasha Smiles slightly, sleep was still evident in her eyes, "What.. what are we doing?" She asked softly, as she played with her hands to stop herself from falling back to sleep

Hajime smiled, "On a quest!" He asked back. Me, Natasha and Toots all looked shocked

How did he manage to get a quest?

Everyone at the village knows that hajime is an outgoing person but getting a quest the second day here is questionable

"A.. quest?" I spoke up, a confused look soon over took the shocked look that was previous displayed

He nodded at me, comforming that, indeed, we did have a quest

Our first one at that

Toots oinked a few times, seemingly asking something, "umm.." Natasha said, "i-i.. I think Toots means, what is the quest?"

"Hehe.. well" hajime rubbed the back of his neck with his left hand, "its nothing special but.. its something" he answered, but didn't explain what the quest was about

"Hajime.. what is the quest?" I asked him, hoping this time, he'll answer the question properly

".. We have to find a person's missing cat" he finally answered, I smiled at him, " Of course" I mumbled to myself

"Do.. do you like animals?" Natasha asked hajime, he looked at her and thought about what he's answer may be, did he like animals?

I've noticed something with Natasha, she only seems to ask hajime questions and would occasionally look at me, when I talked up into the conversation, that is

Her cheeks would slightly go red when she sees him, even redder when she talks to him

Though, I don't blame her as I too, had a crush on him, that is, before our first home got raided and burned down

And maybe the fact that he would come and visit me in the broken down house that I would make it my home as my parents died, leaving me alone in this world

But maybe, it was for the best, overall, if they haven't had died, I wouldn't had the chance to meet hajime

"E-enough of that!" Hajime said, bring me out of my thoughts, his face had light shade of pink, Natasha had moved closer to hajime

Confused, I tilted my head, what happened?

"Let's.. just go and find the cat?.. yeah?" He questioned and looked at each one of us, that was human of course

Poor Toots

"..okay.. yeah! Let's find the missing cat!" Natasha says, full of confidence as Toots oinked in agreement
