chapter 9: The missing cat and flirting

A butterfly made of light blue guided us through out the forest, luckily for us, this butterfly also provided some sort of light for us for to see

The baby blue butterfly flew towards it destination, it almost seemed that this butterfly was made out of water

Koku was standing to the left of me as we followed his magic, he stared ahead but also alert as the last remained sunlight setted down for day

The forest was very quiet at night, it almost feels as though this place doesn't exist, normally you could hear different sorts of animals but at this very moment, it feels weird

I looked down at my hand, a weird feeling overcame it, it feels as though pins are being placed on my hand

I bit the inside of my cheek, hoping that it may ease the pain even if it's not much

But what's confusing me is that fact that this came put from nowhere, moving my fingers around to test if the pain my slowly move away

But it didn't, it hurts even more

Koku must of notices as he grabbed my left hand in comfort, shocked, I looked over towards him

He was already looking at me, his eyes showed sincere and kindness in them, "its okay" he said, not looking away from me

I stared back at him, a new weird feeling was over coming me

The pain in my right was now slowly going away as we held hands while following the butterfly

After a few moments of us looking at each other, the butterfly seemed to glow, gaining our attention

The butterfly glowed, it showed us steps made of dirt and stone, around the third step, there seemed to be a small figure

Walking faster to see what was in front of us, the butterfly glowed brightly before disappearing,

Before disappearing, I made out the outline of a cat licking it's paws, "Koku" I said the man's name, "is that jessmic?" I questioned and let go of his hand

Unknown to me, koku's smile slightly turned into a frown but it quickly went back

Without answering back, koku ran head in the dark, gasping in shock, I quickly followed him and trying not to fall over

The cat, who I was hoping was Jessmic, looked up at koku before taking a last lick at her paw

She set down her paw and stared at him, a small meow escaped her mouth

Koku sighed in relief, "its her alright" he said while patting the top of her head, jessmic seemed to like the attention she was getting of the male

She meowed again before running up a through steps, she looked back at us then running all the way up, both me and koku looked at each other

"I think she wants us to follow her" koku said, I nodded in responds then made my way up the earth stairs

Meanwhile

Hajime sighted as he sat on the inns bed, he was alone in the room as Natasha and her pet pig, Toots was still out in the town looking for (Y/n)

He looked at the window, a feeling of fear setted in his chest, his leg slightly bouncing

During the day, he nor Natasha could find the missing cat and now, a friend of his was now missing, his friend from childhood

Hajime felt bad, his guilt was growing each hour, he wanted to spilt up to ensure that more ground was covered in hopes that one of them could find the black and white cat

Maybe, if he hadn't suggested this idea, (Y/n) would be with him, would she be with right now? Sat down on the bed talking about the day?

But what hajime felt more bad about is that, he didn't feel alot of concern about his missing friend and that alone made him feel disgusted

Why didn't he feel more concerned about (Y/n)?

He loved her, sure as a friend but this feeling in his chest, it made him feel sick

A knock on the door was heard as he turned his head to look at the wooden door, "Um.. c-can I come in?" Natasha's soft voice came through the door

Hajime could feel his lips forming a smile, "yeah, come on in" he replied back at the white haired female as she opened the door and closed it behind her

Toots ran up to me and sat down by my feet, oinking sadly

"We couldn't (Y/n)" Natasha said as she fiddled with her hands nervously, Toots sadly looked at the floor

Sighing, I ran my hand over my head

"I don't know what do Natasha.." I spoke and looked her, still standing by the door,

" I.. dont know either"

Back to koku & (Y/n)

Jessmic looked back behind her, to see if me and koku was still following behind, we were but there was a bit of a distance between us

Night has now fallen as the moon slowly rises higher in the dark night, it was getting hard to look at Jessmic's figure as she was, mostly a black cat, the only thing that I could make out of the cat with her white spots and her bright eyes

Koku took a hold of my hand and made me ran with him, I was starting to breath harder as we ran for a while now, how koku was not out of breath surprised me

Jessmic turned to look back infront of her and ran

Taking the last step, I stopped and tried to gain my breath back, koku chest was also going up and down in a fast motion

So he was tired for running for long time, looking at him, I noticed that his hair was slightly out of place and that his beautiful blue butterfly landed on top of his head before disappearing as blue like dust was falling of its body

Koku looked ahead, staring at the black and white cat as she meowed, she was sitting next to river that seemed to glow a familiar blue of koku butterfly

Near the river, there was small hills that if someone wanted to go over it, would have to climb

That or try and swim up the waterfall

The trees had made a clearing in this area, looking around this new environment, I was unaware of koku staring at me with pink like cheeks

"What.. is this place?" I asked him and jessmic, even though I knew that the cat couldn't talk

"I.." koku coughed and smiled slightly at me, "I don't know but it looks really pretty"

I nodded in respond and walked over to jessmic and picked her up in my arms, I turned to look at koku, standing still in my spot

"Mission accomplished"
