Kayleigh's POV
Since finding out I was pregnant not only with one, but two babies. When Ethan left I decided to pull up my big girl draws and start preparing for the arrival in the next 5 months. I went to work and started putting baby things in a registry of what I may like. Sam has been a great help and has emptied one of the guest rooms so it can be redecorated however I want. With the help with Ethan as much as possible. He may not be here, but these are our children and I plan on including him.
Today is my 13 week check up and the day before Ethan flies overseas again. He's been trying to call or text when he's able. Even if he knows I'm asleep he will just say he loves me for when I wake in the morning. Things have Been great so far. No morning sickness. The babies have made themselves known this last week and my clothes are definitely not fitting.
Before we were discharged the doctors asked if we wanted to know the sex of the babies. So I did the blood work and have my results, but since we scheduled this strictly around Ethans availability we will announce on FaceTime during the ultrasound to check their growth.
Blake is back in Mobile so Sam is going to FaceTime him as well so everyone knows. My little family. These children are so lucky to have such strong men to look up to. I'm glad to have them.
Laying back on the table I lift my shirt so we can have a look at our children.
Ethan - I cant believe I'm going to be able to see this. Thank you Kayleigh
Kayleigh- they are ours.
Sam - okay Blake is here.
Blake - hey guys. How's my little nephews doing
Kayleigh- they are not boys. Watch. Ethan is going to have girls. Two girls.
Ethan - as long as y'all are healthy I don't care.
Sam - I call dibs on picking names.
Kayleigh- shut up its time to see my babies.
Watching my babies move on the screen is so surreal. They have grown so much and are healthy. So healthy. This is amazing baby. I love you. I love you too Ethan.
So everything is measuring perfectly. And now it's time to open the envelope. You ready baby. Let's see what we are having. You ready daddy. Very. Sooooo.... we are having....... a boy and a girl. Hell yes. One of each. I'm so happy Kayleigh. Thank you for loving me. Thank you for giving me two blessings. I love you Ethan.
Sam - well congrats you love birds.
Blake - I'm going to uncle the shit out of this. Hell yeah.
Ethan - I have to go. I'm sorry love. Last meeting before I leave.
Kayleigh- I love you baby. Write me as soon as you can.
Blake - be safe Bro.
Sam - stay safe Ethan.
Ethan - bye everyone. Keep them safe for me.
Kayleigh- good bye daddy.

My dearest Kayleigh,
I miss you so much. The desert is different this time around. I've been here 2 weeks and have settled in to my tent. I have the ultrasound photo and a photo of us in my pocket that I carry with me.
My unit has been giving me shit saying I'm an even bigger asshole this time around. I have to agree. I'll do whatever it takes for my men and myself to make it back to the states together.
