"Put the paper down, Amara." Luca said, a towel wrapped around his waist as his eyes squinted in anger.
"Tell me why I'm here." She said. He advanced toward her, making her back up into the desk behind her.
"I've told you before, I don't know."
"Bullshit." She spat, holding the piece of paper behind her.
"Give me that paper." He reached to grab it, his naked chest brushing up against her exposed one, the small bathing suit not making it any better.
She lifted the paper into the air as he tried to snatch it, their bodies now pressing together as they fought for the paper.
She ran out of his grasp backing away toward the wall.
"I'll give it to you if you tell me why I'm here." She said, watching as he pulled his hand over his face.
"Stop being such a bitch, give me the fucking paper!" He shouted, making his way toward her again, but the sound of a gun clicking made him stop dead in his tracks.
"Where did you find that?" He asked, growing angrier each second she didn't listen to him.
"Something I found in one of your drawers." She smiled, pointing the gun directly at his head.
"I'm going to ask you one more time, why am I here?" Her smile grew as she watched the man struggle in front of her, his fists clenching at his sides.
"Sit the fuck down." He said, going to the other chair across from it. She took the seat, still keeping the gun in her hand. The cold metal familiar against her warm skin.
"My father has brought you here because-" His words failed as he watched the towel slip from her body, showing the bathing suit underneath.
"Well? Continue Luca." She told him, oblivious as to why his words had stopped.
His jaw clenched and he briefly closed his eyes, trying to calm himself.
"He's brought you here because he wants you on our side."
She let out a loud laugh, and it startled Luca, confused as to why she was laughing at what he just said.
"You've got to be joking." She let out a snort, putting her hand up to her mouth in order to stop the giggles escaping.
His lips twitched up a bit but he covered it with a cough, his face going back to the usual stern one.
"You've got to be kidding me." She said after a couple of minuets of her calming herself down.
"You expect me to leave my home? The mafia that's rightfully mine?" She said.
"That's the thing Amara. It's not yours." He said, her eyes widening in confusion.
"Yes it is. I'm the daughter of the Mafia boss, of course it's mine."
Luca shook his head. She didn't want to believe him but this sounded like something her father would do.
"Who would it go to?" She asked, clenching the armrests, her body shaking with anger.
"Mason Semenov."
She stood up from her seat, the chair scraping against the floor.
"There is no fucking way." She said quickly.
"I've worked my entire life for this, an- and he can't just come and take it. We're not even related!"
She started to pace around the room, Luca watching her as she rang her hands through her hair. He too, got up and made his way over to her, placing both hands on her shoulders.
"Stop pacing. You're making me sick." He told her and she pushed him off, walking towards his desk.
"So this paper.." She said, picking it up from his desk, looking at the writing on it.
"Yes, It was the deal my father offered yours in order to get you back." He said.
"And?" She asked.
"He didn't accept." He answered, his body coming closer to hers.
"Of course he didn't." She sighed, watching as Luca reached her.
"My father had decided to keep you." He said, his hand reaching up to pull the hair away from her face.
She froze. What is he doing?
"Why?" She whispered, his minty breath fanning against her face.
"You have information." He said quietly, playing with the strand of hair in-between his fingers.
"So why are you here?"
His eyes met hers, turning his attention away from the piece of hair and backing away from her, getting a far distance across the room.
"Punishment." He muttered, looking at her and then opening up the door.
"That's all you need to know. Now leave." He motioned for her to exit the room.
"You're forgetting I still have the gun." She said, trying to grab onto the item she just placed beside her.
"Looking for this?" He held up the same gun she just had in her hands.
"Now leave."
