"There's the entrance right there." Derek pointed to a door outside, a guard stood watch beside it."We just need to sneak up on him." Amara said, now walking along the line of bushes.
They were now a far distance away from the door and walked up to the building, their backs against the concrete wall.
She nodded toward Jack and he walked up to the man, making the guard have full attention to the blonde boy that just walked up to him.
Before he could yell, Amara used the back of her gun and hit him in the head. She couldn't tell if she killed him or not but he slumped to the ground, not making a sound.
She opened the door and a quiet hallway stood in front of them, the only sound was them closing the door behind.
"Remember, each of us search a floor. It will be quicker this way." She said to them.
"Amara, I told you." Mason said, "This way isn't safe, we should stick together."
"Mason, I am not changing my mind. I'll start here and you guys work your way up, that is an order." She spat out, watching as Mason hesitated to go up the steps.
The boy quickly ran to her, ingulfing her in a hug. She hugged him back, his strong arms wrapping around her waist.
"Be careful, okay?" He said, kissing her on the top of her head.
"You too." She said, pulling away from him. He gave her a small smile and ran upstairs, leaving her alone on the first floor.
She opened the first door, a closet stood behind it, nothing inside but cleaning bottles and supplies.
She moved on to the next one, it appearing to be a guest bedroom and she stepped through, keeping her gun up.
She went into the bathroom, droplets of water along the glass shower wall. She stepped back out, backing away slowly.
A creak of the floor made her whip around, but she was slammed against the wall, a gun pressed to her head.
"What the hell are you doing here?" A voice rang out, making fear flash over her quickly.
She heard the gun click, and she prepared for a bullet to go through her head.
"Answer me!" He pressed the gun into her head harder. His arm was against her throat, holding her in place.
"To kill you, you bitch." She spat out, looking him dead in the eyes. His hair was wet and unlike her, he was wearing pajamas. His sweatpants hung loose on his body and he was shirtless, the water droplets going down his chest.
His arm pressed in further, making her lose airway to her lungs. She grasped onto his arm, trying to pry it off but it was no use.
"I should of known you would come looking for me." He hissed out, anger in his eyes as he watched the girl in front of him start to fade away.
A gun shot sounded and he loosened his grip, and she could breathe again. His head turned toward the door, where shadows of people running could be seen from underneath.
He looked back to her, her breathing now heavy.
"Just do it." She gritted out, the gun pressing further into her skull. He gulped, watching as she put her head back against the wall.
She was pulled away from the wall into the bathroom and was thrown into the shower. He quickly turned the water on, making her clothes wet.
"What the fuck are yo-" She was shushed once again as he put his hand over her mouth. She was now completely soaked and so was he, both their hair dripping from the warm water.
A knock on the door made Luca pull her behind him his hand on her hip as he held her in place.
"Capo, I russi attaccano la base" (Capo, the Russians are attacking the base.) The voice said, making Luca's grip more firm on her hip.
"Sarò fuori in un secondo. Porta tutti fuori"(I'll be out in a second. Get everyone outside.) He responded, the Italian rolling off his tongue.
The man walked away, and Luca turned back to her, her clothes sticking to her body tightly.
He slammed her against the tile wall, her back arching from the cold. Both hands went to either side of her head on the wall behind her, his face studying hers as she stared up at him.
"What the fuck did you do." He snarled, the water hitting him in the back of the head.
"I didn't do anything." She spat back. He hardened his jaw and brought his face closer.
"You're lying."
She squinted her eyes, her breathing now starting to pick up. "I only brought a small group." She said, answering his question.
"No you didn't" He stated. "There's more than a group here." He told her.
Surprise flickered through her. "I only brought four other people, Peretti. I am not lying."
He didn't say anything, his eyes boring into hers. He quickly shut off the water and pulled her out of the shower.
"Wait here." He said, going back into the room. He came back with a shirt and a pair of sweatpants.
"I am not wearing that." She told him, crossing her arms.
"It's this or nothing." He shrugged, placing the clothes onto the bathroom counter. He walked back into the room and she could hear the closet door open and close.
She sighed, pulling off the wet shirt and pants, unclicking her belt and pulling it off. She put the shirt over her head and put on the pants, both too big for her.
She put the belt underneath her shirt, clasping it around her waist. He walked back through, his eyes trailing over her body that was wearing his clothing.
He wore a tight black shirt and training pants, guns strapped onto a belt he wore as well.
"You need to get out of here." He told her, pulling her out of the room and into the hallway.
Gunshots were firing around the building and he closed the door behind him, tugging her along with him as he ran toward the exit.
Before they reached the door, a man blocked their way, a gun pointing directly at her head.
"I don't think so son, she's coming with us."
