Part 3: The Invite

She looked up to find his blue eyes staring back at her.
"Sir, I must be doing this." She simply replied.
Gabriel looked very confused, she had never acted like this; it was very unlikely of her to leave after a simple argument.
Why did she want to leave?
"Nathalie, you know you can't leave, We need you."
"I'm sorry Gabriel, but I have made up my mind. I will come back once I see you caring about your son, and less about yourself. I care about Adrien and you Gabriel , but I have to do this, I'm sorry."
She opened the door and walked out to the first step.
"I'm sorry Gabriel."

It's been three weeks since Nathalie quit and she still felt horrible. Nathalie had been a part of the agreste household for almost 16 years, and she still felt like she was missing something. Could it be Gabri- Adrien? Probably. But Gabr- Adrien is fine without her. She was after all the person who needed to do this in the first place.
She shouldn't be so sad about this. This happened weeks ago.

Since she left Nathalie was forced to apply for jobs around her area and found many already. Since she just applied for them, all she had to do was wait. In the meantime, she would look at her other emails to see if there was anything interesting going on at the moment. As she was scrolling down, something caught her eye.

Bourgeois Masquerade Party

At Le Grand Paris
8:00 pm - 12:00 am on the 12th of July
In celebration of the tenth anniversary of the hotel.

Nathalie gasped and all of a sudden got a burst of excitement. She had dreamed on going to one of these party's, and most importantly by herself. She immediately typed back saying that she will come. "I can't believe I'll finally go to one of these fancy parties!" She exclaimed

Gabriel had gotten the same email. Unlike Nathalie, he felt mixed on this. This will be the first time ever that he will be by himself if he came. He wouldn't have Emilie or Nathalie to accommodate him. He will be all alone.

"Master?" Nooroo asked
"Yes Nooroo?"
"I think you should go, you haven't been doing anything for weeks.."
"Why Should I Nooroo? I have no reason to go. I have no friends and I have no family and she isn't with me."
"Well Master, you may find a new assistant while your there and maybe you'll find someone new.."
"How could you say that! Emilie is still my true love!"
"It's just an opinion master."
"Mhmm"'
"I'll go check on Duusu, she seems a little sad ever since she left.."
"Alright, Nooroo."
Gabriel still was deciding to go. Nooroo was right, he hadn't been doing anything except staying in his office. He looked up at Emilie's painting. "Forgive me my love, but I realize I haven't been the same ever since she left, and it's about time I moved on, Adrien has, and I think I should too. I'm giving up the miraculous, being hawk moth and I'm giving up trying to save you. I'll see you someday soon my love."

Meanwhile, Nathalie was busy making her costume. She knew how to sew because when she was younger her mother had shown her. Now that she passed away she relied on her old memories to start to make her dress for the ball.

After hours of sewing, she finally made this beautiful dark blue satin dress. even though it was inspired by one of gabriel's old designs, she still felt like it was relating to mayura. But no one will find out. This is going to be the day where everyone doesn't know who anyone is, so she'll be fine right?
