The only thought that constantly ran through my head was one. Where was Sasuke?!
We were already right where Pakun had led us but still there was no sign of him.
But I knew he was here. I knew it like the back of my hand.
Kakashi-sensei searched with me but it was to no avail.
A few shinobi we didn't even recognize, tried to hold us off, to fight us. The rest scurried off.
It was funny how they even thought they could hold me off, nothing was getting in my way. They should have known that when they took him from me.
I could tell the chakra that surrounded this place anywhere. The way it was sinister in its very own way. This was Orochimaru without a doubt.
Maybe this was his hideout. Or was it his layer or whatever shady guys liked to call their territory.
I didn't care one way or another but if he'd hurt Sasuke, then there would be a problem.
I'd kill him. I'd fucking kill him.
My heart beat suddenly beat a little faster at the thought of him.
The last time I saw him was more than a week ago. I wanted to see him. I needed to see him.
And the ghosts of the past hokages help anyone who tried to stop me from doing so.
The minute I see Kabuto I'm at his throat. I don't think he was expecting it, because I wasn't expecting it either.
But there I was, trapping him, with madness in my brain. "Where is he you bastard?!" I demanded.
I punched him over and over again, he didn't answer more than I thought he would because every time he tried to recover, I punched him again.
It helped a great deal that I had the element of surprise on my side.
Kakashi fought by my side, the minions nothing to him as he defeated one after another and even multiple at once.
We were starting to be surrounded because the numbers just kept on increasing.
The thought distracted me and Kabuto saw a chance in that moment.
I felt a prick in my skin as if something was injected inside me.
And then a blow was coming to me. Then it suddenly stopped.
From where we'd busted in, sunlight poured and I saw Kabuto's shadow in mid punch trying to get to me.
It was a shadow link that I recognized was stopping him.
"Yo Naruto! You didn't think you could have all the fun to yourself did you?"
Shikamaru smiled at me.
The others were with him I noticed. I was so glad.
Right there, Shikamaru's smile turned wavy. So did everything else.
Until the blurs only fused to black, and that was all I could see now. I passed out.
