Sasuke
Naruto didn't let go of my hand as he broke through the entire place.
I had to remind him I wasn't helpless. I pulled my hand away and from him.
Naruto stopped and turned to me. "Sasuke-chan, what are you doing?" He sounded a little disappointed.
I didn't want him to be disappointed. And I loved the way he said that. Fuck. "I can move just fine on my own," I said.
"Yeah," he said. Naruto then went ahead to lift me up in his arms, never taking his eyes away from mine. "So?"
Thank small mercies for the lack of enough light. My cheeks were burning.
I didn't trust myself to speak so I held on.
We kept moving until Naruto suddenly stopped. He stood stock still for a moment.
Then I finally heard it. I heard a sound coming from the distance.
Whoever Naruto had broken in with was probably working their way to us.
But at the same time it could be Orochimaru's minions. Either way, we were going to find out.
Naruto smiled anyway. He always did in the face of danger and he looked breathtaking as fuck.
He then turned down to stare at me and I pretended like I wasn't looking.
"You're going to treat me to that ramen when we get home?" Naruto asked and I heard the smile in his voice.
"I guess we'll see," I replied nonchalantly.
He chuckled and tightened his hold on me. "I did say I wanted to tell you something."
"Whatever," I said as my heart beat spiked at the information. What did he want to talk about?
Naruto placed a firm kiss to my forehead as I shrunk further into him and light exploded everywhere.
Fucking finally.
I was relieved, if we put aside the embarrassment of being seen in Naruto's arms like I was a helpless baby.
"Let's go home Sasuke," the boy I loved told me.
