I almost got run over by a buss when I was fucking drunk

{third POV}

"Tanjiro! Your ok!" Mitsuri exclaimed, engulfing the boy in a warm hug as soon as he stepped through the gates.

"Huh? Why's Rengoku with you? He hasn't touched you has he?! Was Genya nice as well?" She wailed, looking Tanjiro up and down to make sure he wasn't hurt.

Tanjiro giggled, making Mitsuri's face redden as she listened to him "I'm fine Mitsuri-san, Rengoku Just had to help us on a mission..." he trailed off, taking her hand in his hand giving them a light squeeze as reassurance.

Tanjiro looked over Mitsuri's shoulder and saw Giyuu walking peacefully in the garden, his deep blue eyes occasionally glancing at Tanjiro. Though, he chose to keep in walking and ignore his arrival.

"I'm going to go say hello to Tomioka-san, I'll be back soon" Tanjiro smiled, letting go of the woman's hands and walking over to the water pillar.

"Hey Giyuu-san~" Tanjiro sang, placing his hand upon the male's shoulder "I haven't seen you in ages! It's good to know your ok!" He beamed, sending the male a blinding smile.

Giyuu stared at Tanjiro and simply walked away.

The boy tilted his head to the side in confusion and skipped to catch up with him again "Tomioka-san? Did I do something wrong?" Tanjiro wined, giving his best puppy dog eyes as he walked in front of the pillar.

"No. You've done nothing wrong" he stated, walking around the boy whilst hiding his face discretely with his hand.

Tanjiro's smile faded as he caught up to the pillar once more "Giyuu-san can I have dinner with you tonight?" Tanjiro persisted, following him inside and in the direction of Giyuu's room.

"Why?"

"Because I want to make you happy" Tanjiro purred, making Giyuu's breath hitch as his hand froze before opening the door handle "why don't you eat dinner with Genya or Rengoku?"

"Because I want to spend more time with you?..." Tanjiro replied saddened, his smile dimming due to Giyuu's cold demeanour.

Silence.

"Ok... sorry for bothering you Tomioka-san, maybe we can eat together tomorrow, have a good night"  Tanjiro began to walk away, deciding it would be best to leave the male for today and try again tomorrow.

"W-wait... uhhh you can come in" Giyuu spoke up, grabbing a hold of Tanjiro's wrist so he couldn't go any farther "are you sure? You seem a little tire-"

"Nope it's fine" he decided, opening his door swiftly and dragging Tanjiro inside with a little yelp.

Giyuu let go of Tanjiro and gestured him to sit on his bed "I'll go get some food, you can change into whatever while I'm gone, my clothes are there"

"A-are you sure I can wear your cl-"

"It's fine" he cut off, closing the door and leaving Tanjiro alone.

Giyuu sank to the floor with his head in his hands, tugging gently at his long black hair as he stressed over what to do 'dammit Giyuu, I wasn't supposed to get close to Tanjiro... I just couldn't resist him though. I can't just push him away like that...' he thought, tugging more harshly at his hair now.

'What if I can't protect him though? You idiot, your so pathetic' he gritted his teeth, squeezing his eyes shut as he forced himself off the floor and to go get food for them both.

"Hummm... I'll wear this one!" Tanjiro spoke to himself, pulling on some comfy clothes Giyuu had in the corner of his room. They were rather big on him though, so Tanjiro looked absolutely adorable.
