11. Thoughts about dress or outfits

Well to start off, I am a studying fashion design, so I know a thing or two about dresses or outfits. But I am gonna focus more on what my thoughts are about them.

I think that outfits are mainly to express who we are and what we aspire.

Some people wear dress to show off their personality, some wear dresses to cover their body, some just want to experiment with the piece of fabrics they have, it all depends based on the one person's own preference.

I love goth styles, but my personality is just sooo fluffy, so it need not be that goth people are always arrogant or always with a b*tch face, people like to wear goth style because they like it. I personally have not yet tried goth style yet because India just does not have many goth style options for shopping.

Some people are conservative, some people just don't care how they look, people like them just throw on an outfit to cover their body, which is perfectly fine, Bub, you do you, I do me.

While each person has their own right and preferences, the same person does not have the right to command another person to follow only a certain type of dress code.

Wearing a short or mini skirt (for girls) is not what you see in your everyday life in Tamil Nadu (but I guess as years go by, many are changing, hope so). So, when you wear a short or mini skirt, people will look at you from top to bottom and just give you a disgusted look (man, if I could only place my hand in their faces). I wore a mini leather shirt with white cropped top for my birthday (June 15th which was), OMG the amount of looks I got was just not countable (I went to my friend's house, who lives down my street) and I also had a caked face, because bish it was my bday. Some people would have also concluded that I was a hooker or something, but you know what "I DON'T CARE". I loved the outfit and I am gonna wear it more than once.

And I also think that dresses should not contain gender. People can and should have the full right to wear whatever cloth they wanna wear.

Again I would like to say, YOU CAN WEAR WHATEVER YOU WANNA WEAR. Damn, I really love baggy t-shirts, but I could never find it in the "girls" section in the shop, so I would go to the "boys" section, IDK why but the employees had the guts to side eye me whenever I buy from the "boys" section. Do I need to remind them that cloths do not have a gender. I really love the marvel collection they had in one store, so I bought one for me and one for my bro (matching sibling cloths, YAY) but other than that the "boys" section is mostly from cars movies while the "girls" section is mostly Sofia the first theme.

A trend of clothing should not be a must in everyone's life.

Oh yeah! Trends, Interesting, isn't it? I've seen most of the trends after tiktok became famous, like e-girl stuffs, Pinterest girls, vsco girls, etc., And if you like those trends and you want to follow that, cool, go ahead and be those trends but never look down on those others who just stay in their own comfort lane and does not like to follow those trends. Baby, they don't judge you for following a trend, so never judge them.

Certain fashion is only for certain sizes.

Sizes are literal bullsh*t. You can wear whatever you want (I could say that the whole chapter). When you are not confident enough to wear something just because "what will other's think?", then Bub, you should not wonder "what will other's think?". If you are interested, then go for it. "If you are thin, skinny jeans make you look even more skinny, eat more. If you are curvy, crop tops aren't for you, lose weight." Whenever people say these types of comments, don't ignore them, educate them "cloths are not differentiated for different sizes, it's our wish what we wear and it is none of your business to poke your nose on other's lives and choices".

Ok to conclude...... Let's see, your body is yours so wear whatever you want and you are comfortable with. Never look down on others and when others look down on you, don't let it affect you. Don't be scared to try out new trends or fashion. Don't let your size determine your fashion. You are gorgeous and beautiful always.
