After fencing practice I head to the locker rooms to get changed into some more comfortable clothes.  Honestly, we didn't really have practice today, it was more like a celebration, a party of a sort.  After getting changed, I brush my hair and grab my things to head our to my car.

As I'm heading out to my car, I hear someone shout my name from behind me.  It's Renjun, and he's jogging my way.  After he reaches me, he bends down for a moment to catch his breath and then looks at me with the most innocent looking eyes ever.

"Aria, what are you doing today?"

"Umm, I'm not sure," I say.  "I don't think I have anything to do today.  Why do you ask?"

"Do you want to hang out, like all day today," Renjun says?

I give a big smile and tell him yes.  "What about your car?  And all your stuff?"

"I'm leaving my fencing stuff at school, and I took public transportation today," Renjun replies.

I nod my head in response and we head to my car.  I hop into the driver's seat and Renjun gets into the passenger seat.  "So where to?"I ask.  "Hmm, maybe something to eat," Renjun says.  His stomach starts to growl and we both laugh.  I drive through town until we arrive at a ramen place.  I park my car and we get out and head into the restaurant.

We get seated and settled at a table as a waitress hands us our menus.  We order and then eat.  I don't remember the last time that Renjun and I got this much time to ourselves.  We catch up with how we're doing on classes, our thoughts on the fencing team, our plans for nationals, what our summer plans will be, etc.  He tells me stories of his old school and how he kept getting annoyed with all the girls drooling over him.  It was disgusting and he could never get anything done.  Then I told Renjun stories of my travels whenever my team and I had fencing tournaments in international destinations.  It was something that we could both relate to, and I was happy that we shared similar experiences in the same places even when we didn't know each other at the time.  It was a quiet afternoon and all we had was each other, and that was enough for me.

After finishing our lunch, we head to the park that's nearby.  We take a walk but get stopped when we see an ice cream shop.  "Want anything," Renjun asks while looking at me with an eyebrow raised.  "Sure, why not."  We make our way over to the ice cream shop and order something to eat to take on our walk.  I order rainbow sorbet and Renjun orders a nice coffee ice cream.  As we're walking, we steal tiny bites of the other person's ice cream.  "Mm, this is really good Renjun," I say while stealing a bite of his ice cream.  "Yah, you should've gotten this one then!" he says pretending to act all tough.  "Eat your own!"  I laugh at his behavior and continue to walk through the park.  It's a nice sunny day out today.  The pond looks pretty clean, and there's kids in the playground or down by the pond feeding the ducks crumbs from a baguette.  After reaching the end of our walk, we head back to the car, hop in, and I drive us off to my house.
