CHAPTER ONE!
— endless her"She's a seer."
IT WAS COMMON KNOWLEDGE THAT VALERIE LUPIN-BLACK WAS NO ORDINARY GIRL. Her brain was lightyears away from her heart. Always making radical decisions... unless she was put under pressure. The dark-haired girl did not do well with pressure at all. With a mind as advanced as hers, there had to be a weakness. And for Valerie, that weakness was the weight on her shoulders of being a seer.
Harry always told her it was a blessing- after he got over his fear that she had become a zombie and lost her mind- along with his mom, Ember. She saw the girl having such power as unique and something she should embrace.
But she couldn't.
The visions and voices she heard and saw were enough to make her lose her mind. A single drop of water constantly dropping on her forehead at the same time. It had become a grater to her personality, practically forming it for her.
Remus and Sirius didn't know what was wrong with their daughter at first. She had gone from her sassy self to more reserved in a single night, claiming it was a nightmare.
But when the nightmares began to come back every night. The same broken smile... the same violet eyes and split-ended hair. The darkness of the night never left the young girl alone. Action must be taken place, and quickly.
She can remember the words her aunt told her parents. "Valerie's not sick. She's not insane, Harry. She's a seer."
A seer.
Predicted prophecies, the same kind that nearly killed some of her favorite people. See the future by an inner eye or whatever that is... She couldn't be a seer? Surely it had just been the scary movies she watched with her dad and Erick?
The face she saw in those visions was enough to drive her insane. It was the same man every time, glossy, bright skin, an evil smirk, piercing violet eyes, and messy blonde hair that was ratted and knotted.
She didn't know the man.
No one did.
He had become a figment of her imagination as she aged. Though she was nearly positive the porcelain-like man that haunted her nightmares was no ordinary man... and was indeed real, she pushed those thoughts down as far as she could.
She aged and slowly the man left her mind. He would reappear when she was in her papa's class and was finished with her work but it was quick and gone almost instantly.
No one thought anything of the man Valerie spoke about...
they should've.
ASHLEE SPEAKS!
I don't even know if this counts as a chapter.. we will call it a chapter prologue.
