Ew, no this looks horrible. My eyeshadow looks like someone gave me a black eye. I slump down as I wipe it off with my makeup wipe. Why did I even bother to buy eyeshadow when I can't even put it on properly?

You're probably wondering why I've decided to wear makeup. So, I have amazing news. Rowan asked me on a little hangout and I can't wait.

I'm not sure to call it a date but I do hope we become even closer than we already are. But the only thing ruining this moment right now is the fact that I don't know how to put on makeup. So I decided to send Charlotte a text telling her to come over.

She arrived in like 10 minutes. "What's the-- oh," She grimaces at my makeup look.

"Does it really look that bad?" I ask. I want to look good for Rowan. I know you shouldn't have to impress anyone with how you look, they should like you for who you truly are but I don't care about that at the moment.

Charlotte takes the makeup wipe from my hand and wipes it herself. "Okay, so what look were you trying to do again?" She asks.

"I don't know. I was following a tutorial online but I guess it's expectations versus reality," I shrug. "Help me please?"

"Okay. So we don't need that much brown eyeshadow," She begins. "We'll go with light colors. The trick is to compliment your eyes. Since you have green we'll go for a soft red-orange look."

I close my eyes and allow her to do the magic. After she sprayed my face with the setting spray, I face the mirror and gasp. "I look beautiful," I say with a smile checking myself out.

"You're always beautiful," She says. "Okay, clothing time. What're you going to wear?" She asks clapping her hands together.

"Mmm, I was thinking this dress? Or should I go with a two-piece?" I ask as I dig through my closet.

Charlotte follows me inside and starts digging as well. "This one," She says holding a floral dress out for me to wear. I almost forgot I had that.

After putting on the dress she curls my hair. "Done. What a masterpiece," She says with a chef's kiss. "So where are you two going?"

"He said that he set up this little picnic spot for me but didn't exactly tell me where," I reply. Just then there is a knock on my door and I go to open it. Rowan stands there with his hair combed back in all of his glory. "Rowan," I say with a smile.

"Wow, you look absolutely stunning," He says and I smile. "Ready?" He asks. I nod my head and wave goodbye to Charlotte before we are off. We walk outside of the building and spot a car waiting on the curbside.

"You ordered an uber?" I ask as he opens the door for me and allowing me to enter first.

"Yeah, I wouldn't want you two walk in those heels," He replies. Soon after we are off. I watch as the trees and buildings pass by. After about a 20-minute car ride, we come to a spot. It's a little park area with a lot of green space.

We both get out of the car after Rowan pays for our ride and he takes my hand in his, leading us to a spot under a tree. The sun is starting to set so we have a beautiful view of the sky.

There's a mat placed for us with a picnic basket. "This is so lovely," I say sitting down. He even brought pillows and a blanket. Rowan begins to take out the food for us. Yum, sausages.

"So, tell me more about yourself," Rowan says lying down.

I bite a chocolate-covered strawberry before joining him. "Hmm, what do you wanna know?" I ask.

"You're childhood. Your likes and dislikes," He lists. I notice how whenever Marcus took me about he never asked me these things. He just talked about how much he liked me and possible future dates.
