Making moves

Two months later

We flew back to L. A and bought a house ten minutes away from Ashley's and Jared's house. Tyrese is doing good, Khole moved into his apartment temporarily according to her, and has been taking care of him. He got better within three weeks but she's still there to take care of him.

I had my second ultrasound and Ashley demanded that she throws a gender reveal for us so neither of us knows the gender of our baby. I thought staying home every day would drive me crazy but I've been so busy with moving from New York to L. A and so have London. He has been putting things in place for his move with me and with his company.

I am twenty-two weeks pregnant, I have a happy healthy baby that loves to kick and so I've convinced I'm having a boy, London thinks it's a girl but we have no preferences. Just one healthy baby for us to give our love and affection to.

We decided to wait until the baby is around one to get married so that he or she can be a part of the wedding. At first, London wasn't having it but I convinced him, just like I had to convince him to let me help with moving since I had no job thanks to him and Ashley. He wanted me to just sit at home watching movies and eating, I do the opposite.

I exercise for ten minutes every day and I keep myself busy with all things, family home related and shopping for the baby. The gender reveal is in three days and I can't wait because I haven't been able to shop for my baby properly.

"Hello, " I answered my ringing phone, I didn't know the caller ID. "Hey Brielle, it's Anna, Anna-Reese. I got your number from Khole, I was wondering if we could have lunch today?"

Khole had given Anna-Reese a chance after a month. However, I've just kept my distance from her. I heard her talking on the phone with Don a few times because he puts his phone on speaker all the time, most times they talked about Tyrese and the fact that, they're selling the club and Anna new Friend James is buying the club.

James is a well-known soccer player, she met him while covering a story about him and they started dating a week later, so she has been in dialogue with London more than so often because of that.

I decided to accept her offer, we're leaving for L. A later today and ever since that night at the hospital I never spoke with her so I'll see what comes from this lunch date. We schedule our meet-up for 1:00 pm and it was already 11:00 am. I texted Don to let him know what I'll be doing and immediately my phone rang.

"Hi baby, " I answered.

"Hey sweetheart, I'm almost done here. I'll pick you up when you're done with lunch?" he asked but I knew it wasn't really a question. "Sure, see you then" I responded with a smile. My baby kicked and I rubbed my hand over my belly and sighed.

I thank God every day because I've been so lucky to have London and my unborn baby. It takes me a long time to get ready because I never know what to wear or what to do with my hair and I get sleepy when I put my make-up on. It was already 12:30 by the time I was done getting dressed.

I chose a white dress, with a nude cardigan and a shoulder bag to match, I also wore some comfortable nude slippers. By the time I got to the restaurant it was 1:05 pm and I found Anna at a table tending to her phone.

"Hey Brielle, " she addresses me as I walked up to take my seat.

"Hi Anna, " I returned.

"You look awesome, pregnancy suits you, " she went on.

"Thanks, Anna, "

"Yeah, thanks for coming to lunch with me, I'm really hoping we can move past the things I did?" she was looking at me now with questioning eyes.

"I'll try Anna, so far things have been ok. It's too early to tell if you're being genuine." I keep it honest with her because I can never be sure if she's being real.

"I understand, I'm hoping we can be friends. Is it ok if I talk to you about James?"

"Sure, knock yourself out"

We ordered food and surprisingly I found myself enjoying lunch with her. She told me about a foot fetish that James has, that creeps her out because he doesn't only lick on her feet, he names each of her toes and talks to them before he sucks on them. We laughed so hard, I almost peed myself.

I invited her to my gender reveal in L. A and we ended the afternoon with a hug. I hope this does not come back to bite me in the ass along the way, I can only hope she's being genuine this time. London was outside waiting for me with open arms and kisses when we got out of the restaurant. "White suits you beautiful, " he complimented me after kissing my forehead. I blush tomato as I usually do once he opens his mouth.

"See you in a few Anna," I said and my amused fiance looked down at me with questioning eyes and so I fill him in on lunch with Anna and that I've invited her to our gender reveal. I could see he was happy that things were looking up for Anna and me, after all, she was his childhood friend.

All our belongings were ready, most of our things were in L. A already so it was just for us to board our flight with the last of what we planned to take with us. London will be traveling back to New York for meetings that were set before he appointed Tyrese to run the New York Branch of Bascoe's Enterprise.
