A WEEK LATER

Sucks to be a patient sometimes.

A week had only passed and I'm still laying on a gurney, is it possible to just rip the IV and go back to my life? And yes, I'm stuck inside the compound. Tony banned me from going out, to going on missions, and let me tell you this, it's not fun. Here are the reasons. My reasons.

First, he's the only one that can see me and when he does, he just sleeps, he snores sometimes and most of the time he gets nightmares and I get to deal with them, which I don't mind. Second, he's overly protective of me, it's as if I'm his lost daughter that he never wants to lose again. Third, this one is really not that bad, but he tells me stories about him and sometimes we gossip about Cap, which is the reason that I am still alive, and no, I'm not kidding.

Anyways.

I was reading a book when the door opened.
"Tony, you came here five minutes ago, please go away and leave me alone." I snapped without bothering to look who it was.

"Actually, it's not Tony." The voice was enough for me to get my attention as I looked back to a female Tony.

"Oops, sorry about that, he's just annoying — what are you doing here? I thought you aren't allowed to come in." I replied, putting down the book.

"I'm here to pick you up." The redheaded informed.

"Pick me up for what?" I kept my eyes on her as she stayed by the door way.

"For a meeting, didn't you hear?" She asked back and I shook my head.

"Natasha, stop talking in riddles." I glared at her and she chuckled.

"I'm not." The pitched of her voice rose, making me arch my eye brow. "Just come with me." She added, walking near me.

"I'm not going anywhere with you." I snapped and she has the expression that tells me that she was a bit taken aback to what I said.

"Don't you trust me now?" She asked a more serious tone this time.

"Oh, oh, oh, don't even go there." I replied and she only raised an eyebrow. "I didn't said anything like that."

She still raised an eyebrow while nodding, telling me that she doesn't believe me, I mean, what?

"Stop looking at me like that." I added with annoyance.

Natasha still didn't said anything, so I just stood up and glared at her, before leaving the room.

"So you don't trust me then?" She asked, following behind me as I walk catiously. I didn't respond.

It's hard you know, trust, sounds weird.

She walks up next to me, her head whipped to the side as she kept her eyes on me.
"What does it take for you to trust me." Her voice became a negotiable one, but still managed to keep it soft.

For a split second I side glanced her but not enough for her to notice, so I just I continued walking, until we both reached the meeting room.

Once I entered I heard her sigh in defeat but I ignored it, taking a seat in front so that we wouldn't be sitting next to each other.

"You guys stop staring at me." I stated, looking at each and everyone of them, but they all stared at me still. "What is it?" I asked.

"You seem, thin." Sam points out.

"Have you been starving yourself?" Bucky added, making me furrow my own eyebrows.

"Why would I do that?" I questioned back, making them all shut their mouths.
